Tex's Chicken and Burgers — Restaurant in New York

I’ve ordered take out from here several times over the past 8 or so months. It has pretty good ratings on Uber eats and they always have very good deals at excellent prices, so I figure why not. The food has always been very fresh and hot. I’ve had their fried chicken pieces before which I enjoy, large pieces of fresh hot juicy chicken and crunchy fresh fries. I’ve had their fiery wings with fries which I always enjoy- extremely well seasoned and spicy but not too spicy.

This visit I ordered pick-up for two ordered of the Nashville tenders. This I wasn’t a fan of (I’m basing my overall review on my cumulative experience with their orders). The tenders didn’t have much flavor at all with the small amount of seasoning added, the dipping sauce was tasty and saved the dish. The fries were mildly soggy as well as the chicken tenders, probably due to the way they sealed the bag (sealed too tight not allowing air to escape, so it steams the food). I wouldn’t order this dish again but I’d ordered the chicken pieces or fiery wings for sure. I’ve had the biscuits before too and they were very good! Coslaw also came with the dish I ordered today but I was too full to even try it.

I work nearby and was on my way to pick up my usual lunch at a nearby restaurant when I passed by and immediately stopped walking. I was so excited that they finally opened up because I've seen their restaurant sign there for months.

The staff were really friendly and the service was quick and easy. The chicken was amazing (very similar to Popeyes), and the biscuit was like 100x better than the ones at Popeyes. Honestly, it might have been one of the best biscuits I ever had. They're way softer and moist. I've had Texas Chicken & Burgers before, but the last time was in 2018, so I'm really happy that I was able to try it again.

They'll also be giving the Kennedy Fried Chicken restaurant at the other end of the block some well-deserved competition because Kennedy's prices are insane. Even though Tex's Chicken and Burgers standard prices aren't much better, at least they have an app with a rewards program, they have specials on their window, AND they accept credit card. We needed a more reasonable fried chicken restaurant in the area and I'm really glad we got it. Will definitely be...

It was fully clean and the place we pretty, I ordered spicy chicken sandwiches which were amazing and tasted really good it had a kick to it and the spicy chicken was phenomenal amazing taste and spice, don't even get me started on the tenders they were even better more tastier.
