Discovering a new place for food or service is exciting, but it's disheartening when inefficiency mars the experience. While the staff is pleasant, their lack of efficiency often results in delays. As someone who works as a Sales Analyst, time is of the essence for me. Despite placing my order through the app at 7:22am with a promised completion time of 7:32am, I found myself waiting until 7:49am to receive my order, a 17-minute delay.
The essence of pick-up service is speed and convenience. While waiting, I observed the staff juggling multiple tasks instead of prioritizing One at a time to complete. Even though I arrived just before the promised completion time, my order hadn't even been started by then. It wasn't until 7:42am that my items began preparation, and the situation worsened when the manager's directives were ignored by the staff when she told him to hand me my order and he chose to take care of another customer who arrived way after me who ordered at the register.
From a sales perspective, this experience raises concerns about customer retention. I use the app, I'm getting points, I ordered 27 mins before I got the order yet I faced considerable delays compared to in-store customers. I am the exact customer the store wants to retain as I'm locked into the App and visit frequently. Inefficiency, as evidenced by delayed start times and lack of task focus, is a choice. In my professional realm, inefficiency can have significant financial repercussions, and it's imperative for companies to prioritize efficiency for customer satisfaction and retention. A customer told another customer while I was waiting "You have to order ahead or you'll wait awhile", which was clearly incorrect. This customer was waiting about 10 mins and she ordered in-store, and I waited 17 when I ordered 27 mins prior to when I got my order.
While pleasant demeanor is appreciated, competence and effectiveness in the job are paramount. I would prefer a grumpy employee who efficiently delivers my order in 5 minutes over a friendly one who takes nearly 20 minutes. The manager also, was the only one who started to move with a sense of urgency after noticing how slow things were moving along. Excellent prices, nice staff, but that's not the totality of a business. 3 Staff was enough to knock out the orders effectively and they failed.
Food is a 5 star (Great Price and Healthy) Service 3 Star (Inefficient days are crazy slow. The nice staff is why it's a 3 not a 1) Atmosphere is a 3 star (I don't care for loud music they sometimes have. Not sure why companies even play music, I want your product or service, I'm not there to dance and this is not a...

Read moreI came in and had 3 separate employees look at me and completely disregard. One employee was making a smoothie one was at the register but not taking orders apparently because when I stepped forward to order he walked away. Another employee was talking to a customer at order pick up. All 3 employees were behind the counter. But no one seemed to care about the customers at the register trying to order. I had to loudly ask if any of the employees were going to take my order. They all looked shocked to hear someone speak up. Even as I stand here waiting on my order there are 4 people right now waiting to be taken care of. If this wasn’t the closest to my house I...
