I remember when they did the renovation on this park and it became the Railroad Playground. I also do wish that they would reinstall regular swings in the park. The swings WERE there when the park was renovated and they got plenty of usage, but over the years all of them have been replaced by the bucket-style toddler swings. (Unfortunately this has become a common trend in parks across the city for reasons that are still unclear.) Overall the renovation was a definite upgrade and the theme is well done, from the water tower sprinkler to the iron train silhouettes incorporated into the fence. I love anything and everything to do with railroads so seeing these details always make me smile.
