My fiancé has been coming here since he was a child with his parents and always had fond memories of the people and the delicious food. I had never been before. I decided to have my son’s christening party here over this past weekend and it was absolutely phenomenal.
The servers set up everything for us the night before: centerpieces, banner, dessert table, etc. They texted me throughout the process to make sure I was happy with everything.
The church ended earlier than expected and they were able to accommodate my group of 46 coming an hour early than I had originally booked! You would have never even known they were thrown a curveball. And the wonderful service continued throughout the night. The servers are so sweet and personable: you really feel as if you’ve known them for a while.
Luigi the owner was there the entire time making sure everything was running smoothly. He is very personable and sweet!
Our family RAVED about the food. From the great spread of antipasto, tender calamari… to the delicious pastas and entrees, everyone left with a full belly and smile on their faces. We will absolutely be back for dinner soon. Personally, my new favorite place in more...
Read moreLive and learn! I wanted to love this place! I really did... An Italian restaurant in Newark! Given what Covid has done to small businesses I've been trying hard to support those in my city. I ordered a chicken parm sandwich, a veal parm dinner and a stuffed mushrooms appetizer. $50! But inflation is EVERYWHERE! In fairness to them, I request light on the cheese for my chicken parm. Nevertheless, the food was less than desirable. Chicken and veal BOTH PAPER THIN. Chicken was dry and over salted. Sauce was bland tasting like canned tomatoes. My mom had the veal. She enjoyed it but her pasta had very little sauce. The mushrooms were inedible, stuffing was mushy but flavor was OK. Reading the reviews again, Im amazed at how ANYONE can call this good food. Maybe its the difference in eat in and delivery. The delivery man on the other hand was...

The nice people at Luigi's said no problem. We were given both lunch and dinner menus and everyone ordered. All dishes were great, some how we all had chicken breast with different sauce, each one fresh, bright and very good. My chicken parm was one of the best I've ever had, we shared an antipasto salad and an artichoke, both very good. Last we shared two desserts a Tiramisu and chocolate mousse very large servings more than enough for four. The only negative was Luigi's is BYOB and we would have liked a glass of red, but we'll know...
