New South Orange — Restaurant in Newark

OMG, I found this little gem of a restaurant while searching for good Spanish food/Pernil. I purchased a small Pernil with Yellow rice and Gandules a large Chicken and Turkey wings with the same rice. Everything tasted like I was enjoying a home cooked meal. I was overjoyed while eating my food. I will not be cooking anymore. And the prices are still great. I paid $28 for 3 plates of food you can't find that at a restaurant anymore. This place does not have any prices listed nor any signs letting customers kniw what they are buying! Therefore, customers have to ask the servers questions! One server is impatient and/or has a language barrier when you ask her about the foods and the prices. I DO NOT RECOMMEND BUYING FROM New South Orange, Newark, NJ 07103! The say server said something "smart" in her language and thought I did not hear her. Made me not buy anyrhing else...

Very comfy round-the-way spot. The interior is not special.....what's special are the people who work there (the service, friendliness). The food is superb. AUTHENTIC DOMINICAN 🇩🇴 cuisine....everything is sooooo fresh and good! The prices are beyond reasonable. I had a great experience. There is usually parking available in the area.
