Oporto Restaurant — Restaurant in Newark

I can only speak to the delivery experience not dining but HORRIBLE.

I ordered a large group order so of course I expected it to take a little longer. The Uber eats driver got there very early and waited for about 40 minutes. They were rude to him as well. I called multiple times just to ask for any sort of update, they said “no English” and Hung up more than once. At first I thought it was an accident, but no they hung up, slammed the phone clearly. That’s how you answer a phone call for an order you’re getting for almost $200? If you didn’t want business I would have gladly cancelled.

When the food came 90 minutes later, they forgot an entire meal. They didn’t close the lids Properly so food was leaking, I can’t even review my pork cubes and clam meal cause oil was Leaking everywhere. I threw it out because it was so messy and I was working outdoors. Others said their chicken was dry, sandwich was plain.

So disappointed, was looking forward to having some Portuguese while in Newark and it was the worst experience. I only ordered here because McWhorter BBQ was closed today.

DONT even try to call if you don’t speak Portuguese or you get hung up. Don’t recommend for delivery, crappy service .
