I ate here about a year ago with 2 of my close friends and we were poisoned! Thanks to my friend, I have finally caught this restaurant to review. The experience was one I wish I could forget. If someone told me I had one chance to erase my memory of a certain event and I can never erase anything else ever again, I would choose this place. My god was it terrible. If I could give it 0 stars, I would! The service was horrible our waiter never approached our table unless called upon by one of friends, and no one spoke english! If my friends weren't Spanish we wouldn't have understood anything! and the menu was extremely pricey. We all figured this was a fancy restaurant so we ordered the seviche... I soon realized that this was one of the biggest mistakes I have ever made in my life. My friends and I noticed a very sour taste in the seviche. My one friend barely ate his portion while I ate half. My other friend generously devoured a good 3/4 of the food. It was disgusting but we were hungry. We all felt a bit weird afterwards. We weren't full or satisfied, we felt nothing but disappointment. Worse comes the bill which was over 100 dollars. Later on in the day. I get the worst food poisoning experience of my life! I was throwing up for 2 days straight! After hyperventilating my guts out, I get word from my friends that they all had the same experience. They nearly killed us! I couldn't believe this place! So do yourself a favor and avoid this place at all costs! If any health inspectors can read this review, go check this place out...
Read moreNOT Ecuadorian. Don't expect REAL Ecuadorian dishes. I've been here FOUR times at 6:00 pm or later and they've always claimed to be out of the plantain dishes, morocho and other traditional dishes. Without traditional dishes, it becomes a Latin American restaurant with dishes found in any Colombian, Peruvian, Dominican or Cuban restaurant. The waiter is a bitter guy. Not friendly at all. The last time we went, the waitress was friendly when she took the order but then disappeared and we were stuck with the bitter guy again. The goat stew was dry. The steak was hard. The "patacones" (tostones) were pre-fried, then re-fried. The were oil drenched sponges. The Jalea was a seafood mix fried too long so it all tasted like oil. Don't order diet sodas because they...
Read moreI'm surprised! You can't expect this place yo be what it is from outside. That saying "don't judge a book from it's cover" fits here like a glove!
Super simple inside, very cozy and you feel very welcomed. The tables are well placed, with real napkins and fresh flowers, the walls carry art and the fire place just make it even better!
The service is good, the food is delicious! I had the lentil soup with meat, for sure carried lime and cilantro, super flavorful, them me and my friend split the ceviche, it was so fresh and great quality fish, I forgot to ask what fish it was, but for sure it wasn't tilapia, very meaty and soft. They have this special hot sauce with purple onions that makes everything taste...
