I went in to Ronnie's to grab lunch for a friend and myself. I went to the bar and waited cause there was no server. The cashier came to fix the plate when a gentleman came from the kitchen and she mumbles "good help is hard to find". The gentleman begins to fox my order. He gets my first plate fixed and then goes into some kind of daze as he is scratching his shoulder. I mention to him what I want he says ok but does not move. The owner who has been sitting at the table gets up comes to the bar and opens the plate. I calmly state that I no longer want the plate because he did not wash his hands. He said he did I leaned closer because I could not believe the owner was being so rude. I was in the mist of saying the customer is always right when Ronnie picked up the plate as if he was going to throw it at me and say" now your not going to get it" and told me to get out. I left with a few choice words of my own. Ronnie's will never get another penny from me. The whole place needs to be revamped starting with ownership all the way down to the decor. This used to be a bustling business due to the homestyle food bur that isn't guaranteed. I had pancakes about 2weeks ago that had been fried in the same grease as every piece of meat in the building. Customer service is key in this type of business. The quality of the food has gone down, the name itself is misleading, and the cheap labor speaks for itself. Never going here again. I didn't feel safe and will not put myself at risk on this...

(I had to get seconds. :) ) They offer: Green beans, Cole slaw, chicken of various flavors, a salad bar, banana pudding, peach cobbler - - and more. The BBQ has a hint of sweetness to it that makes it that much better, and more delicious. Should your mouth run dry, soft drinks, tea - both sweet & UNsweetened, coffee and water. Please note that was the BUFFET meal. Table service is offered along with this, also. "Take-out" and phone-in orders also accepted. While in Newberry, S.C., go to "RONNIE'S" for a good...
Read moreRonnie's has a buffet set up in the restaurant when i went on Sunday. You let the server know what you would like and they prepare the plate for you. I had the 4 vegetable plate. The dressing was delicious. I also had the mac and cheese that was tasty. The noodles were over cooked though. I also had cabbage as one of my veggies. No taste or flavor what so ever. Tasted as if I was eating water. They need to add something to the cabbage to give it some flavor. The cream corn was rather thick but not bad. I'll give it another try being this is about the only place to get southern cooking or Comfort food on Sunday...
