Wendy's — Restaurant in Newberry

TL;DR DON'T BRING YOUR KIDS, they play vulgar music on the radios. Also, staff don't want you. They will ignore you as long as they can.

Went here twice this month. I hoped the first time was just a bad day, but this second visit confirmed it. Employees ignore people waiting at the register.

First time, I had to ask someone to come take my order after I waited 10 minutes. I ordered a pretzel baconator. After waiting 20 minutes for it (30 min total wait) I asked where my food was. I was told it was just sitting, ready, right behind the counter. It was just not being handed to me yet. "Baconator," they said. Apparently, they were out of pretzel buns but didn't tell me until half an hour of waiting. I had to wait on a manager for my refund to rush somewhere else while I was still on my lunch break.

Second time, I waited through 5 minutes of being ignored by barely busy employees who made eye contact with me several times. The woman who was waiting in front of me said she had waited 5 minutes prior to me walking in. One young female employee in particular made direct eye contact with me, then turned around and looked for something to do. She found something, completed her task within seconds, and tried to find something else. I was still waiting. Eventually, the manager from last visit came and took my order with a frown. When he finished keying it, he walked away without a word for me to process my card payment and grab my own receipt from behind the counter. The food came out quick enough, so at least that was better than last time.

The second visit, I noticed vulgar rap music was played during my entire 40 minute visit. Kids came in and out. Not at all kid friendly, let alone friendly to...

Visiting Wendy’s is always a delightful experience. When I go there there's always cheerful faces of the staff, who seem genuinely happy to be there. It's nice to see people who enjoy their jobs. Their friendly smiles create a warm and inviting atmosphere. I can always count on their helpfulness, whether I need assistance deciding what to order or if I just have a quick question about the menu. The team goes out of their way to make sure every customer feels welcome, and that adds to the overall enjoyment of the visit. What really impresses me, though, is how hot and fresh the food always is. There’s nothing like biting into a delicious burger that has just been made. The fries are perfectly crispy and golden, reminding me of what fast food should be, quick, tasty, and satisfying. When I receive my order, everything is always exactly as I wanted. There are no missing items or mix-ups, which makes me appreciate their attention to detail. It’s a simple joy to know that I can trust Wendy’s to get my order right every time. Another reason I keep coming back to Wendy’s is how consistent they are with their quality. It’s reassuring to know that I can expect the same great experience no matter which location I visit. The combination of fresh food, accurate orders, and friendly staff really sets Wendy’s apart from other fast-food places. Stopped in for what I had hoped to be a fast lunch. The staff was pleasant to the customers and the interior of the building seemed clean. I waited for 20 minutes before my to go order was completed, and when I got to my vehicle I realized that the order was wrong. However a long line of people waiting for their orders had formed and I decided that it wasn't worth the effort to get the correct food. The food itself was fine for a fast food restaurant, hot stuff was hot and the cold stuff was cold. The manager was present, courteous, and was working quite diligently to get the food out on time, but the correctness of the orders was lacking. During the wait for my food everyone else, (and I do mean that literally), that had ordered inside either received the wrong food or also had an extensive wait for their food. I may have just caught the restaurant on a busy day with what appeared to be new staff unsure of their roles in the food preparation process and delivery, but I would encourage you to perhaps consider another place if you are hungry...
