Rant ahead. Feel free to scroll on by.. So, food is good. Prices ok. They made it personal so they get a 1 star plus the honor of being the first time I have ever called anyone out on social media. I go out of my way to be nice or not say anything at all BUT.. My 17yo daughter, we'll call her E, went to work several weeks ago at Jimmy's Egg in Newcastle. E was there for 3 days in training. Somebody stole tips off the tables and the manager decided that since E was the new girl it must have been her and fired her via text. They have video surveillance yet the manager and corporate office never looked at it even though we asked. This tore E up because anyone that knows her knows that her word and her integrity means everything to her. Fast forward... manager gets fired. So the new manager asks if they could hire E back. I did not want her to go but she really wanted to. So she worked for 3 Days training and today a waitress that's not even a manager pulled her aside after her shift and told her that she just wasn't a right fit for the job and they have to let her go. What are these people doing at Jimmy's Egg? Do they not train their managers? So she's gone through this twice now. I am so mad I don't even know what to think. So here's my warning ....don't let your kids work at Jimmy's Egg because the management/corporate is very unprofessional. I was in retail management for 15 plus years and I was responsible for hiring, firing, training, recruiting and all that jazz. If I had to let someone go, I..the manager..did it FACE TO FACE. How...
Read moreWent today looking forward to a pleasant meal. I ordered Popeyes Omlet and I requested that it be over cooked. I cannot tolerate soft eggs. I explained this in detail and the waitress stated that she liked hers that way as well. I even told her that if they were browned, I would be fine . I asked for hot tea which I received , but when I asked for refills they were slow in coming. I received my egg and it was wet and soft. It turned my stomach and I could no longer tolerate eating an egg. I requested that she take it back and just give me some toast. I received it. I had requested fruit as one of my sides and it included 3 strawberries. One was not ripe, another was rotting and had a bad taste, the 3rd was just fine. I set my tea pitcher with the lid up indicating that I wanted a refill. I had placed my teabag into the pot so when additional water was added it could steep. No one paid any attention, finally I caught her attention and asked for an additional refill. She took it away but the refill never came. Once again I asked for my refill and after an extended while we had to ask again. I got the water pot without my teabag in it! How useless!!! Perhaps I am being picky, but I don’t believe so. I know now to NEVER choose an egg entree because it won’t be cooked enough for me. As far as the tea, only a trained server will know the signs of a tea drinkers request. Why...
Read moreI would have given a no star if it was available, was at the New Castle location the other day, mid-day as I got to a seat at the counter, waitresses didn't see I was there, waiting for service, kind of upsetting happened again. I heard an intense conversation between the two waitresses', the one talking about how some customer had pissed her off so said she spit in their meal, and it was like it was a normal thing to do if you got pissed, and the other waitress commented to her how she did the same thing to a person, like it was an everyday thing. I was discussed because not only from what herd but sometimes I've gotten a little upset from lack of service. now I'm wondering if my meal had been spit into! I will never eat at a jimmy's location ever. thought it best to same something. after reading reviews I can validate the other reviews that, they do touch food with their bare hands, touch their hair and money, so forth. another thing is when they prep silverware there is no gloves being worn so your napkin and silverware are already dirty while wiping your mouth. think about that. poor management. if you have time read...
