Camarão a Mozambique is SO good. So far I’ve had the picanha, camarão, ovos rotos, salmon, seafood pasta, and bacalhau and recommend all! Erika is a great bartender and all the staff are so welcoming. I love seeing the restaurant owners every time I come in because it shows their dedication to excellence. Today I was pleasantly surprised to come in and see they turned the bar to pink in honor of a wonderful little girl in our community. They didn’t know this family, have any connection, or even asked to do this but they wanted to support the Hartford Portuguese community. If you like Brazilian music, and loudness then your in the right place. They confused our food and brought our meal before the appetizer. Took the food back, confused us, like they could have left the food. The cod balls are pre-made by machine frozen, to be precise. Order the steak with egg. Unfortunately, the steak is extremely fatty. This place is not portuguese 🤣🤣🤣. Go to Naugatuck if you want authentic food from the old world. UPDATE!!! Hosted my Dad’s celebration of life at the Portuguese Club of Hartford and it was catered and managed by Aldeia.
