Cisco's Restaurant — Restaurant in Newington

I just left Cisco's and I am unsure as to how this place has such great reviews. I assume this place is popular for the breakfast. I ordered the Nachos with Chorizo and a side of guacamole. Honestly, the guac was the only thing I enjoyed. It was made fresh and they used only the ingredients I requested (cilantro, onion, jalapeno, lime)....thought I was back in Texas at a Mexican restaurant for a minute! This is where the enjoyment stopped. The chorizo was NOT good...not enough cheese (should have been loaded so that there was cheese in every bite)....and the veggies were not fresh. All in all the nachos were pretty lackluster. My last issue is that the prices inside the menu are different than the ones posted on the wall. When I pointed this out I was still charged the higher price....in my opinion: bad business. Will I go back...probably not...but keep in mind I am a hard sell when it comes to Mexican food. I lived in Texas for seven years and I am used to really FRESH AND GOOD Mexican food! I guess I should have known when she told me that the salsa was made from canned tomatoes!!!! Lastly, I had to get up and go up to the counter to let them know I was ready to order. When I was ready to leave it was the same thing....no one brought my check over....no one came over to see if I needed...

Cisco’s steak burrito is truly one of the best burritos we have ever had. The burrito comes with baked potatoes inside, steak and grilled onions in it. It’s very authentic and doesn’t have the sour cream or lettuce inside which makes it soggy. You can request an egg on top which in my option makes the steak 10 times better. The best part is Cisco’s sauce that we pour on top of the burrito which makes it taste so delicious and the fact that he always gives us extra. We come here at least once a week to get a burrito and Cisco is always in a great mood and ready...
