Hardee's — Restaurant in Newland

Literally, the worst restaurant ever. The employees are incompetent and untrained. The food is always terrible, and they rarely get your order right. I understand pandemic problems, but it was already terrible in every aspect. If you can imagine anything worse than their usual standard, it’s even worse. It seems corporate consideration of their patrons is also beyond poor or they would do something about it. It is consistently terrible and has been for years. I am not exaggerating in any way. I’m scared to eat it as I’m not sure who’s back there preparing it. The person who took my order didn’t understand that a double hamburger is just a double cheeseburger without cheese, so she rang me up a totally different sandwich with cheese. I had to explain it to her at the window. When I got my order, the burger patty was hard, the bread on my ham and cheese was chewy, as if it had been microwaved for no reason at all, and the tea only had a hint of sugar in it. If I could give my experience a zero, I would. If I ever went to this restaurant and received competent service and food I even trusted to digest, I would be shocked and amazed. The problems this restaurant has starts at the corporate level, and their employees and patrons are the victims of lack of training and terrible...

Dining room closed due to a shortage of staff it's not that unusual its happening at a lot of places but this place has more problems than staff shortages. I pull into the drive through behind another car the car pulled around so it my turn... right ? For the next 5 mins I'm thinking well their short handed it's going to be a few minutes till they take my order..... 10 minutes later I'm thinking maybe somethings wrong with the speaker so I pull on around to the pickup window and I don't see anyone inside.... hold on yes I do it's a female employee but she's leaning against a counter and from the looks of it trying to hide behind a small half wall but no surely not, so I wait at the window and yes she is trying to hide! So I pull away and call their number and ask the lady that answered if they were open. She's says yes and asked someone else if their is a car in the drive through I saw ok I'm pulling in to the drive through and I do, 10 minutes later I call again a lady answered and I say hay I just called and I was told you were open. The lady says no were closed not enough of us here tonight....... really you couldn't tell someone sitting in the drive through or when they call? Here's a novel idea.... tune some of the signs and lights off just like you did as I was...

This use to be such a great place to eat but the last two times I was there it was slow, got the orders wrong and was just dirty. You can see behind the counter and there is food on the floor mixed with straw papers and napkins. Today the very young, very tall young man working there was just rude. I ask if I could have some mayonnaise and he said "were out" and turned and walked away. I had to get his attention again and ask "so you have no mayonnaise in this entire restaurant"???? He said "we are out of those little packs" and turned to walk away again. I finally ask for some in a cup and he acted very pissed off and slid the cup across the counter and again turned and just walked away. There is several other restaurants to get a burger in Newland including Sandees....a locally owned restaurant not 1/4 of a mile right down the road. If Hardees wonders why they have no business.....it's because of poor service and unmotivated workers. Newland is a very small town and it doesn't take long for word...
