We were out running errands and decided to try Kaye's Kitchen. I can honestly say it is one of the best meals I have eaten out in a while. The outside is unassuming and in no way indicates what is on the menu. Decor is country kitchen. There is a very nice patio area next to a lovely bridge that leads to a local walking trail. Hanging plants and bird feeders make for a nice atmosphere. Nice to watch the birds and share my dinner rolls. The meals starts out with yeast rolls and butter. My husband and I both ordered the grilled salmon over Kale salad. The Kale, bean sprouts and carrots have been sauted and then tossed in ginger dressing with craisins and pumpkin seeds added. The "salad" is served warm. The salmon is grilled well without much added seasoning. The Kale saute provides all the extra flavor. It was delicious! My husband and I both loved. Their dinner menu changes daily. This salmon dish is a staple however. If you are on Beech or Sugar Mtn. This restaurant should be on your list. I was pleasantly surprised by the uniqueness of many of the dishes.

We ate here recently for the first time. I had the 10oz ribeye and my husband had the braised pork. There was just us and one other table and the food took just over an hour to come out. It was pretty good though, although I didn’t really like the rosemary on the steak, but that’s just a personal taste preference. My husband loved his berry salad side and the prices were quite affordable. Also, they present their food beautifully. The waitress was ok until the end. She was only 10 ft from us and talking to someone, which put her in plain eyesight of us, although she either ignored or still didn’t notice when we needed refills or had finished our meals. I finally waited until she was done talking and interrupted her texting to ask for the bill. Then she went back to ignoring us, so I went to her to pay.

Went there after hiking on the AT for a few days. Could not have been more pleased. I mean look at the picture and how much food we got! The kindest waitress (Susan) was so welcoming and we had such a blast. The food was amazing (almost too good🤔) with large quantities and small prices. Oh and I got a fruity pebble filled pancake so that was great and then we played cards and sipped coffee for an hour after. If you're reading this I promise you want to go there. Would give more stars if possible. Top 3 all-time breakfast experience for me, and we will certainly be back next time we're within 50 miles of this place. GO THERE!

We had reservations for a church women's breakfast. Well we were behind the rest of the group because the child with us got car sick and needed a change of clothes and there was no parking so we parked nearby hoping someone would leave and got his clothes changed. We never did find a space nearby and walked over. We get stopped at the door behind a bunch of other people and manage to make it to the front to see the rest of our guests. We'll some older lady comes and stands in the way and tells us there isn't room to sit with out party and we will have to wait behind everyone else. I told her I'm telling our guests we are leaving and had to walk by this lady physically still blocking my path. Another lady stops and stands in front of my elderly mom and berates her to go to the back of the line and she didn't get by. What was the point of reservations..... Well I tell our pastors wife that we are going to just leave and take the unhappy car sick child to McDonald's because we aren't standing there for half an hour holding a hungry baby watching other people eat with a rude lady and another patron talking over us. Well the group scoots up and makes room at the little tables they already had and wants us to stay. We'll we should have left. Even after all this I still had to go get my mom and get her past the rude lady so she and my niece could sit down and I had to locate and place a high chair myself. Well, I order my drink then get it only to take a sip and notice an ant corpse on the rim. So dead bug drink and berated at the door on top of just ordinary breakfast food is not my idea of a good breakfadt for friends. I suppose we weren't welcomed in this restaurant and that's fine with me. I'm not into buffet style hotel breakfasts with dead bug starters anyway. I know these things happen to even the cleanest places but on top of everything else I can't help but wonder why. I've had plenty of good southern food cooked on an old wood cook stove in my gradmothers old drafty house made with all the windows open and never been served an insect.......the whole debacle was just a mess that I had to pay for and certainly didn't start my morning out on a good note. I'm not trying to ruin some google reviews as most this stuff is curated a little too commercially anyway with the standard reviews but this was just wrong on so many levels and I hope you do...

I was very disappointed we were ending our weekend family getaway in the mountains and wanted to enjoy some breakfast before heading home to Charlotte, I checked the waitlist on google which said about 30 minutes so we were prepared to wait. We signed in at 11:29am for a party of 4 the hostess said it would be a while so we sat nearby in the beautiful yard enjoying the creek and bridge view never heard my name called so after about 40 minutes went to check the list only to find my name crossed out with a note “called at 11:30” how that’s possible is beyond me but nonetheless I asked the hostess/waitress about our name’s being crossed out she rudely told me she called me several times and I would have to be added to the bottom of the list which I was taken aback by then she said you can sit outside if you want, so we sat at a table she sat another party after us and made sure to address them warmly bring them silverware and take drink orders then came to us and was staring at us very rudely and asked my 7 year old how old he was only to mark him as an adult she clearly had a problem with us and it seemed to be because we were Hispanic as we were the only family there who was being treated this way I have never felt so uncomfortable in my life and I wish we would have just left because 16.50 per person for omelets and empty bins of food was not my idea of money well spent our server was Hope and she was definitely the worst person I have ever dealt with she needs to find a different job if she wants to judge people based on appearance because that’s shallow and just wrong we will never...

Overall it wasn’t an amazing experience, My family and I felt very judged, we did have a 30 minute wait which wasn’t bad but as there was many people we hadn’t heard our party called and when we did go up the employee was very rude. She was going to put us at the bottom of the list which would have made us wait an additional 30 minutes. We were able to be seated but we waited 10 minutes and another party much after us were seated and brought silverware I before us. The waitress was very rude, we felt uncomfortable, it was very clear that we weren’t welcomed and the older waitress didn’t give us straws and charged my younger brother as an adult, he is under 8 years old. We told the woman checking us out that he was charged as an adult, she told us that he was taken off the check but he was still charged as an adult. The younger workers were nice and the cook was amazing. The food was good, if anything the only thing that made this worth it was the chef he was very busy and still kept it going. I don’t want to say it was racism but we were the only Hispanics and we weren’t treated equally at all. There was a clear difference in the way my family was treated vs the way other customers were treated. Not to mention it wasn’t very clean there were two dogs going in an out, I understand that it can be hard to keep the door closed but the older waitress was grabbing the dog by it’s collar and then touching silverware and handing it out to customers, it wasn’t a...
