The owner of Sandee’s reached out and wanted to make our bad experience right and she did just that. The food was fantastic and I wanted to update my review to recognize that. An owner who cares if their customers are happy or not is a business I will always support. Thank you, Jillian. We will definitely be back. We haven’t been to SanDee’s in a really long time b/c of the cost but we wanted to support them since being devastated by Hurricane Helene and being closed for weeks. I was on hold for 11 min just to place an order and they told me it would be 35 minutes on our food. Our food was ice cold when we picked it up and I’m not convinced that the pizza hadn’t been made earlier b/c it was not fresh and it didn’t have any cheese on it. Maybe that was my bad when I ordered pepperoni and they only put pepperoni and no cheese, but it was cold and burnt. My biggest gripe is that they now charge you a fee for calling in a to go order AND a 3% fee if you don’t pay cash. I don’t care to pay for good food, but $50+ for what we got was just not ok. Also, their menu prices aren’t what they charge you so that needs to be fixed or just don’t put prices on your menu. They’ve always had the best pizza and we were so disappointed. My son wouldn’t even eat it b/c it didn’t have any cheese on it. I doubt we go back.

Decent Cafe, not really updated but was just right for the prices of the menu items. Not the restaurant's fault at all but a mouthy customer (who seemed to be in the wrong in my opinion) started yelling at one of the staff about her order. It was ready and on the counter for at least 15 minutes before the customer arrived. As she was yelling at the young employee another customer got up and started yelling at the first one. Some very graphic and mean things were said, which caused a third customer (retired Corrections officer) to verbally break it up. Eventually staff refunded the order and asked customer 1 to leave but this should have happened much quicker. I ate as quick as I could and left.....

I used to love coming up here. And maybe it's because we're in a post covid world but the quality has dramatically went down. The price point would have been justified if the quality was good. But as someone who use to work in foodservice I can tell what's high quality and isn't. For my 3 chicken tender platter, just the melt, a to go bbq platter, 5 cheesesticks, a small drink, and an chocolate shake it was $45. We almost forgot our to go order because it was never mentioned again. It's a weird gripe but I've never went to a restaurant where we ordered to go and we weren't at least told "hey your to go order is ready when you leave".And thats including big chains and small local businesses

I was working with my dad and we decided to get lunch. He wanted to go to San Dee's to grab a cheese burger. I offered to buy us lunch. I ordered dad a cheeseburger with corn nuggets. I decided to get a mushroom burger with corn nuggets. We both got a drink. Well, our order was $35! Both of our burgers were little processed patties and dry as a desert! My "sautéed" mushrooms were apparently just soaked with water. My burger had NO flavor. Dad said his didn't have much flavor. The corn nuggets looked like they could have been a meal on their own. The nuggets start out with a good sweet corn taste but the breading over powers it rather quick. The drink was good but not for $3 for a small. I WILL NOT be eating at this place again. I remember when they used to have good food at a good price but apparently no more. FYI: I bought a full pound of BBQ, a pint of beans, a pint of slaw, (2) orders of corn nuggets, bread to make a sandwich, and (2) pieces of homemade pie from Highlander BBQ in Roan Mtn for $33. Now tell me...

We visited Sandee's on the way back from visiting Linville Falls. The restaurant was very hot and our food took about 30 minutes to get out to us. The drink machine was completely broken. It was either giving out syrup mix only with no carbonated water or only carbonated water was coming out. I let the staff know and she seemed very ungrateful that I informed her and simply replied, " ugghhh...I just fixed that". After 10 minutes someone came to look at it and she let the machine run for a bit and said that it was working but we would have to hold the despinser for a little before filling. We did this and the soda still didn't taste right. We settled for the very unsweet sweet tea. However, the food was absolutely amazing. The batter on my chicken sandwich and my son's chicken nuggets wad homemade and delicious. My husband said his burger was good , but the curly fries...
