I never seen fried rice or had yock where it appears the rice and noodles were marinated in soy sauce. The rice and yock noodles were dark brown. While the shrimp fried rice tasted okay, I found the yock to be a little too salty for me. I don't know if plain white noodles are an option, where I can add my soy sauce, vinegar, and other condiments. Very sweet lady at front. I love the food. Even when they were downtown Newport News, I used to go there. The new location is just as good. I don't eat Chicken anymore, but the Teriyaki is the best, especially fried hard. I recommend the fried rice (any kind), the egg foo young is delicious and teriyaki are all my faves. I ordered the house lo mein it was bland it was also dry (no juice )and i asked for steamed dumplings and they gave me fried potstickers (dont like them)they was dry and at least with steamed dumplings you get dipping soy sauce and they charge you for sauces and they dont take credit cards.
