I have been a customer and I have been a vendor here and I can tell you that I have had terrific experiences on both ends that exceeded the expectations. This is my story. First as a buyer I had been hearing about this place from the occasional suggestion to visit the flea market. I finally make the decision when I needed to replace a microwave and funds were strapped. I pull into the parking lot and walk towards the gates of this busy marketplace that resembles a popular ancient trading and shipping port full of merchants and people spending sachels of coins. As I enter through the gates of this mythological trading depot I can see tables and tables about 200 yards deep of everything the mind can imagine. I saw a guy selling brand new toiletries like soaps and shampoos, I saw a table selling sports jerseys, I saw a table with fresh produce, another with tools including a bunch of DeWalt, and generators and chainsaws, and I saw trading cards and comics,, tons of knick knacks and jewelry and more. Then I make my way inside this giant structure only to be memorized and enchanted by a whimsical and retro lost shopping mall like as if I stumbled upon the preserved ruins of an ancient civilization. The outside tables had a lot of stuff and the inside stores had everything else. What was this magical place? Some sort of fever dream. Anyway I took 50 bucks for my microwave, and left with a microwave and 45 bucks worth of cool stuff. Now as a seller, I set up the table and it cost me 40 bucks a day. They want u to reserve on Thursday and you can sell fri sat and sun. You can start setting up at 5am and if they got tables left you can still rent on Saturday though. I rented on Saturday and it was awesome. I was treated really well by the main guy and I was never harassed or micro managed at all. The other vendors were helpful and supportive and the customers had a lot of questions and they turn into buyers like 1 out of 20. Cool place all around and it gets busy. You will never forget this place and will leave with expectations...
Read moreGot an awesome phone case today for the my Samsung amp 2 which I'm using right now (lol) from an old asian lady. We had an small argument for the price.....she said $10, we said $7. She closed the box and said, "No. No dollar 7. It cost me dollar 6." I sighed and said, "ok" lol. I would've bought a screen protector with it but she said it was $15 additional and I just gave it back. I've never seen that lady before the couple of times I've been to this flea market, so she must be new and does not know how to bargain🙃 Been here lots of other times before on way to home to get things like vases, tables, calculators, computer cords, books, and even some china. Great place. Great condition(if not perfect and some still inside untouched packaging). Super cheap affordable. No...
Read moreBad experience at a shop called "Vicky's African Creations". Requested for a pair of pants to be made after being charged $30 for fabric. Tailor told me it would take two weeks. A month later with no contact from the tailor, I hear she "lost" the fabric I paid for, only after I approached her at the Flea Market. I pick a different fabric and she tells me it will be done in a day...A day later, again with no contact, I enter the Flea Market after not being contacted and the pants are still not done! I had to pick up the pants from her personal address and she only took off $5 from her original $60 price of service.
I would only recommend buying African fabric from this shop. I would not recommend getting work done from her unless you have all the time and money in the...
