Bryant Town Donuts — Restaurant in Newport

Stopped in this morning on our way out of town. We were very early and they were filling the display cases, the smell was wonderful! The guy was so nice, we got an apple fritter, strawberry Bearclaw, cinnamon roll and a raspberry filled donut. You choose the filling and he fills them right then. We got home 4hrs later and to our wonderful surprise he had put each of us a donut hole in the bag. We tasted of everything and it was absolutely delicious! We are building in Cosby, so this will be an absolute stop each and every time we are in town. I noticed they also served Community coffee and they have croissantsandwiches. While passing through Newport, I decided I needed donuts. This place was one of the only stores in town that sold them and I was pleasantly surprised at the quality! The store itself is a little grungy but the donuts are incredible. The service is wonderful. The owner was so kind--she even gave us extra donuts and donut holes on top of our dozen donuts...without even telling us she did it or charging us for it! While visiting on vacation to the Smokey Mountains we had a want for donuts. My wife found this place that was out of the way but the reviews seemed good. The reviewers were right. The donuts were some of the best donuts I've ever had!!! I travel all the time and have had donuts all over the place and I thought the best donuts were in Chicago, until now.
