Taco Bell — Restaurant in Newport

The double steak grilled cheese burritos are good. They are like almost 8 bucks a piece but they are huge. I could only eat half of mine. It also comes in chicken, beef or a vegetarian option if you prefer that. You can get regular or spicy option and the regular has cheese only melted on top of the burrito and the spicy option has jalapeno and cheese melted on top and it's HOT 🔥🥵 I will forewarn you if you can't handle spicy then don't order that option. It seems to me like they almost always have a huge line in the drive thru and I don't know why but it takes forever when waiting in that drive thru line. That is honestly my only complaint. I noticed that they were having people wait, me included, at the speaker instead of pulling forward to the window after we ordered our food and not sure but I think it's to keep their overall drive thru time down. I was a young teen when I worked fast food so I am not sure if I'm remembering that right. Anyway, I sat at the speaker for a good 4 min after I had ordered my food waiting for them to come back across the speaker and tell me to pull forward but it was kinda weird because the people who were at the window had already pulled out and nobody was at the window at all so not sure why they were still having me to wait at the speaker but it was just odd and slow. Very very slow. From the time you order to get your food is fast but the time it takes to get to the speaker is painstakingly slow and I don't see people going inside here hardly ever so I'm not sure if they offer inside dining or what but if your getting fast food who wants to go inside and eat? Not me. I want it fast because I am usually in a hurry and didn't have time to cook or prepare otherwise when my family and I became hungry or because one might be traveling but I rarely ever choose fast food just because I want it and how it tastes because honestly it is not healthy and grosses me out anymore. If you want to look good and feel even better, then you have to eat good because that old saying goes, "you are what you eat", is so so true. I gotta work on my eating habits too so no judgement here. ❌🍟🍕🌭🍨🍪...

They take orders online though the mobile app and then when you show up they have the lobby closed. First, taking people's orders online then making the order sitting it aside to get cold while you wait in a line of 20-30 cars is completely disrespectful and unprofessional. Then we read a note posted on the Lobby entrance stating digital and food delivery directing us to the lobby. You need to have a system in which people on the app know the condition of your lobby before ordering. This is the 2nd time that I have had this happen to me. I call and the manager is dismissive, and disrespectful telling me that ordering online does not mean my food is made and getting cold and that it's not even made at all. If ordering online does not allow them to make the order ahead of time then what's the point of using this system. Then when I pulled up to the order menu where we had the team confirm the meal was not made ahead of time and cold which they did. We get to the window to receive our food and as expected my hardshell tacos were broken and soggy and need to be replaced proving that I was right this whole time. This team needs investigated by the regional manager and procedures in how to close a lobby properly taught to them. Your app and team are not on the same page and that's a problem and it's not the customers fault. Also the disrespectful manager who refused to listen and understand me is why this review is being made. All you had to do was attempt to understand my concerns and tell me that you would review this process with the upper managers for better service for all customers. Also just checked the other reviews and there are countless reviews of poor service and the lobby closed randomly all the time without notice. See I'm not alone in my life of reasoning how can so many reviews be made with no action taken. Maybe I'll leave a BBB report maybe upper managers will see that since they refuse to read and act on Google reviews. Customers if this lobby is closed report it immediately...

So on 11 30 22 I went to taco bell as I normally do and order my normal order but here lately they have been bulling people through the drive thru... I pulled up to take my order and handed my money to them the register lady said hold on this other girl has a question to ask you? The cook comes over to the window and asks HEY IF U WAS A VEGETABLE, WHAT KIND OF VEGETABLE WOULD YOU BE? I replied with hesitant I guess a carrot. And she said ( OH I know that's right) and walked away. Then I said to the cashier to have that lady come back up and she didn't have to the cook heard me and came back up and I asked What kind of vegetable would you be and she said I guess creamy corn real rude like .. so I took this personal because of a past trama... and so I left but I was very confused about what and why she asked me if I was a vegetable so I went back to clarify what was said from this cook at taco bell. So I pulled in the drive thru and the cashier left the manager comes to the window and opens the cashier window. I told him I just came thru and ordered, and told him my order. And then one of your employees comes to the window and ask me what kind of vegetable I am. and I asked him what is going on here tonight? The manager said She has been asking everyone tonight. Your crazy. I'm going to call the cops and slammed the cashier window. Walked away turned around came back to the window opens the window and stares at me. I said you know what for the past week or so that I have been coming here ordering my order for the last week or so I feel like you guys have been messing with me . He just looked at me and called me crazy and said they was going to call the cops .... WHAT KIND OF FASTFOOD RESTAURANT IS BEING RUNNED BY BULLYS ..... YOU SHOULD BE ASMAED AND FIRED maybe think what say to others before you say it because you don't know who is traumatized by what or anything so you woman that asked me that question. You should learn some professionalism and good...
