Feng Lee Garden — Restaurant in Newport

If I could give this place no stars, I would. I attempted to reward my neice & cousin with lunch here after helping me pick strawberries. We were sat down and all ordered drinks & Lunch specials. The lunch specials did not offer much variety so I ordered 2, this is what I always do. I pick at them both or share with others at my table, then of course take the leftovers home for my husband for dinner. Who doesnt like a night off from cooking dinner? Well, this time the waiter (who was overweight himself) felt the need to make some rude remarks, laughing and telling me "that too much", " your too big". I could not believe what I was hearing. It literally took me a few seconds to believe what I know I just heard. I told him I always take leftovers home after I pick at them and yes, I wanted both lunch specials. So he asked me if I wanted one to go. I said no, bring them both. He shook his head laughing and walked away. After he walked away, the more I thought about it, the more angry I became. I kept my cool because of the 2 young girls I had with me but I so didn't want to. I told the girls we were leaving and would go somewhere else. I told the waiter to forget my order and paid for my drinks. I also informed him I will never step foot in there again and left, to which re replied "oh well". What a wonderful place, the food was outstanding, the service was great, everyone was extremely friendly!

The owner came out and greeted my family personally, which was a very pleasant surprise, and they did all they could to make sure my party and I were taken care of!

The food was hot temperature wise and delicious, and the portions were very generous! we had to get a few boxes to go! If you like Crab Rangoons they hand make them here and are probably a top favorite spot for me now. I sampled a lit bit of everything on the table, beef fried rice, tidbits plater, chicken lo mein, egg roll, chicken wings, beef on a stick, and I can honestly say I was satisfied with all that I had. I am normally a picky eater when dining, but everything looked and smelled delicious I had to try it all!

A big shout out to the FENG LEE CHINESE RESTAURANT in Palmyra, Maine. Hubby and I ate here for lunch today and I was crazy impressed with my order of the Szechuan chicken with egg roll. Everything I ate was scrumptious….from the perfect combination of spices, the ideal amount of heat (kick), to the obvious freshness and crunch of the veggies. Totally 10 out of 10. If you have not checked out Feng Lee’s eatery yet, please do so. I highly, highly recommend it especially to foodies (like myself) who crave delightfully seasoned, gourmet food. I already can’t wait to return and try their “General Chicken”. They even have my favorite, Singapore noodles, which you know I’m going to end up trying sometime soon.
