Read moreI couldn't get my usual cabin at Christy's for the fall. Decided to stay at Lovelys. I just needed a place to sleep and shower. Had my dog with me and intended to hunt turkey and grouse. I made a reservation for my desired days. Told the gentleman I made the reservation with that I had my dog and if possible could I get a little extra freezer space should I be successful. He assured me dogs were welcome and yes there was a spare freezer I could use in one of there efficiency apt. I put down a deposit and I was ready. Show up the last week in September for a 3 day stay. I check in at the office and emediatly things go sideways. No freezer space, young lady wasn't sure who I talked to or anything about it. But there was some freezer space in a common area in the laundry room, big fridge for employee lunches and the freezer was big and empty. Cool, stored some food in there and went to check in my room. The end of the road only one neighbor. Right in front of my door is a big pile of puke. I look at the hotel room door " no pets allowed". My dog looked at me funny. Back to the desk, turns out my only neighbor is a homeless dude with lots of issues must of been his puke. No record of me having a dog either. She said no problem, try and keep him off the bed. Ha Ha!!! It was raining and I unloaded my stuff and hung my soaked rain coat on a chair outside to drip dry. Next time I went outside it was gone! I stayed my 3 days, guy next door moaned and yelled all night. It was great. When I finally went to leave and retrieved my freezer food. Someone had stolen a pack of deer backstrap and bag of fish fillets. Don't stay there if you have any other options. Sleep in your car and keep your vittles in a Yeti! In spite of the situation I had a successful trip. But in case you didn't read it the first time,...
