Broken Leaf Cafe — Restaurant in Newton Falls

I came back to Broken Leaf Café after leaving a great review two years ago, expecting the same quality I once loved. Instead, I got one of the most disappointing breakfast experiences I’ve had in a while.

I ordered a Sausage, Egg, & Cheese Bagel with everything, plus paid extra for two slices of bacon. What I got was two chewy, overcooked pieces that added nothing but disappointment. The bagel itself was average, and for the extra cost, it definitely wasn’t worth it.

My friend ordered a Maple Bacon Bagel—except it wasn’t actually maple at all. Instead of real maple flavor baked in, they literally handed over a small cup of maple syrup on the side. That’s not the same thing, and it just came off lazy.

The hash browns were the worst part. They tasted like they were straight out of the freezer, tossed in a pan for maybe a minute or two, and served with zero seasoning. No crisp, no flavor—just a bland, half-cooked pile of shredded potatoes.

Then there were the drinks. I ordered a 32oz Oreo Latte and paid extra for the size, but was given the smallest size they sell. The drink itself was fine flavor-wise, but not what I paid for. My friend’s Pink Starburst drink was completely off—it tasted like plain sparkling water with a couple pumps of syrup that weren’t even fully mixed in.

This used to be a place I’d recommend without hesitation. Now, between the poor preparation, missing flavors, incorrect sizes, and overall lack of care, I can’t. Broken Leaf Café has gone from one of my favorites to a place I’ll be avoiding until they get their quality...

They have an amazing positive atmosphere, their so kind and their drinks are to die for 💛 I have tried multiple ones and so have my kids and family members! They are just all around amazing I’m so blessed to have them local in our town 💜 if you haven’t tried them yet run don’t walk their amazing! Drinks I have had pink starburst lotus, blue airhead lotus, iced chi tea , hot chi tea, lavender vanilla caffeinator. Their food I have had which was great as well is, pancakes 🥞, garden croissant (fresh spinach egg tomato and sausage or bacon ), sausage egg and cheese beagle. This place makes you feel special and brightens your day if your having a rough day and even if your not they still uplift you with their positivity! While in Newton falls recently for work. I decided to try this Cafe out for lunch. I ordered the chipotle chicken wrap and a hash brown. The wrap was absolutely delicious. The hash brown was just a regular rectangle shaped hash brown. Anyways, the Chipotle wrap was really good. Served on a white flour tortilla with grilled chicken, Chipotle sauce, spinach, shredded cheddar cheese. The wrap was pressed with a panini press. The entrance was a little weird.
