I am very dissatisfied with the attitude of the owner here, very rude and disrespectful to customers. I called to order an ice cream and fries about 20 minutes before I came to pick up. when i got there i had to wait another 10 minutes for the fries. the store was busy i was patiently standing in a corner waiting for the fries. after i had all the items i needed,i continued to wait 10-15 minutes just to pay. I knew the owner and the staff were really busy so I waited patiently and when I saw the owner near the Pos machine I asked him if I could pay but he seemed displeased and pointed me through to next register. he said he would help me in minutes. i kept waiting for another 10 minutes then i politely asked him if i could pay then suddenly he angrily yelled at me in front of staff and customers. He yelled me saying that I did not see how busy he was. He asked did I see him standing and did not do anything. I was really shocked. when I politely reminded him why he was talking to me like that, he continued to yell at me over and over again. what did i do wrong i have got what i need to order and the crowd of people in the shop i want to finish paying to get out of the shop. it is good for your shop in this sensitive pandemic and my kids were waiting in car. Why did you do that to me? Just to show that you are a big boss and you have power to do everything, that you do not care about customers or that your management is very poor. If you can't do it faster, why don't you hire more people? If you politely ask if I can wait, I don't mind waiting any longer. I felt humiliated at that moment. I did nothing wrong. I know this comment will not make your shop less customers but I have to speak up to let you know your aweful attitude and I hope that you will improve the service and better attitude...

Went on a Wednesday morning about 9am, not busy at all. I ordered an omelette with broccoli and cheese. The omelette was cooked too much, and the potatoes were unique and delicious. The english muffin was some sort of heaven. I would go back just for the english muffin. The overcooked omelette and the non-acceptance of credit cards is the only reason I couldn't give this place five stars. I read some of the previous reviews and the owner, Joe, seemed to refer to the reason they didn't accept credit cards as "We've been around for quite a while now and some of our older charms stuck around", but your older charm is making quite a tidy profit off the exorbitant atm fee the atm charges. So I quote, "A place that doesn't take cards is bad, but a place that doesn't take cards and has an ATM right outside—that's just straight up evil. It's like "thanks for patronizing our establishment, let me kick you in the crotch on the way out!" I pass by there everyday, and since I rarely carry cash, I go somewhere that...

I have been going to Cabots for 50 years! I LOVE the fact that it is not a chain business, but is still a one of a kind business, with great food and ice cream, as well as intelligent, engaged, friendly staff who actually work hard!! The owner runs a tight ship, and is there on the front lines with their employees. Cabots is well run and efficient. I also LOVE the fact that it looks just as it did all those years ago: if you want new and shiny, with contemporary music blasting, you need to go somewhere else, as there are plenty of those other places around. Cabots exudes what now seem to be "old fashioned" values, like hard work, respect, great food and ice cream at very reasonable prices. Get off your devices and step back in time when life was the genuine thing!!! (Be prepared to wait for a seat at peak hours, especially Fridays and Saturdays; also, keep in mind that this is a family restaurant, and there will be noise at...

I've come here for years and it has never disappointed. Cabot's is a perfect spot for breakfast, brunch, or just a quick grab of some ice cream. There are multiple options for sitting, such as countertop, booth, or table. Most of the tables are small and best for parties of 3-5 people, but they can push tables together if they are available for bigger parties. For breakfast, I typically get the waffles or the steak & eggs. The steak is cooked to perfection, and the eggs are cooked to your liking. I have never had an issue with my food at this place, and the sides are also very good. The ice cream is very good and unique, and the toppings compliment the ice cream well. The service is excellent here. They make sure your drinks are taken care of, and the food comes out in a timely manner.

Quality of the ice cream was excellent! Death by Chocolate and Toll House Cookie were both really good along with the hot fudge. The Mint Fudge was very much lacking in the fudge, however. I also give a 4/5 because nobody really greeted us when we walked in to take our order. There just wasn’t really any greeting. It also bothered me that we got charged an extra 10 cents for *each* paper bag and they never even asked us if we had a bag. I’ve never been to an ice cream store where they’ve charged extra for a bag—it’s not a place where you should be expected to have one to avoid an extra charge. We didn’t even have an option *not* to have a bag… just seemed kinda scammy.
