Depasquale's is located in a residential area, equi-distant from Washington Street and the Coletti-Magni Park, right on Adam's Street. The place isn't huge but I was able to get a decent lunch from them on numerous occasions when I worked in the area. They are a small Italian deli/market and have a license enabling them to also sell beer and wine. The main reason I went there was for fresh, made to order sandwiches which were pretty good and affordable as well.
I've had their veal parmesan and their caprese, alongside a few specials as well. Each time it's been pretty good. They also have all kinds of drinks available including San Pellegrino's Limonata, a favorite of mine.
A few of the negative is that the place didn't seem very clean. Not grimy but it feels dusty in there. I didn't really feel super uncomfortable but it could definitely use some sprucing up. Furthermore, it is a bit cramped in there and I've had to wait outside because of how packed it was, even with only 5-6 people in line waiting. Not that pleasant. But not enough to persuade me from not going. Definitely not a bad place if in the area, searching for something for lunch. Or if you're in the area and need some freshly sliced deli...
Read moreMy father raved about this place, but I was not impressed...even though I didn't even eat the food I bought! Cashier had an attitude from the get go. I wanted an eggplant sandwich, but they didn't have any. She suggested chicken parm, but I said I am vegetarian. I ordered a grilled veggie wrap. 4 customers came in and ordered after me, all of whom got their sandwiches before me. When I asked about my order, I got an attitude from another worker. Eventually I saw the cook start my order. When I saw him put the veggies on the same grill that he had just made chicken and meat sandwiches I nearly lost my mind. I took my older without complaining but threw it in the trash. When someone says they're vegetarian, you might want to tell them how the sandwich is prepared, or at least ask the chef to separate it. This is 2021, and there are many...
Read moreI was extremely pleased with the large Italian with everything. Thin sliced cold cuts, the mortadella with the pistachios, sharp provolone, chopped pickles and onion and excellent bread. Id put it up against the top places in the state for Italian subs. Gave it a 4 on atmosphere as I feel they could have more Italian specialties on the shelves, but that's not a big deal. I grabbed some hot sausages (which they are known for) and look forward to a giving to my mom so she can make a nice...
