I'll preface this review by saying the staff were friendly and tried to be accommodating---my assumption is they are short staffed. That said, to spend over $400 for this experience was a whole travesty. The front was under some kind of construction, so i needed to park in a handicap space in the parking garage. Then, carrying my bags while pushing my sons wheelchair (that they knew i had in advance), i needed to cross the street to enter the hotel. After checking in, the staff confirmed our room was near the elevator for handicap access----on the 4th floor. No one offered to assist me with the bags, so i proceeded to the elevator carrying the bags and pushing the wheelchair.
The elevator needs servicing. It shook and was quite loud. Seemed unstable. Got off on the 4th floor and a very musty smell nearly knocked me out. I can only describe it as what you expect in nursing homes.
We enter the room, and it is blistering hot. Evidently, in an effort to save money they choose not to condition the air continuously (which certainly explains the mold smell wafting in the hallways) . I scarcely was in the room 2 minutes before i needed to call down and request housekeeping. There were crumbs all around the bed on the carpet. I'm suspicious on if the bedding was changed in between guests, because it unfortunately didn't smell like it. The shower liner was molded on the bottoms, toilet n floor appeared to be spot cleaned only.
This hotel is loud. If you are a light sleeper like i am, you too will be writing this review at 4am because of the sounds of a very busy highway, and underinsulated walls and windows that allow you to hear your neighbors a bit too well.
On the bright side, to make a positive-negative-positive sandwich, the staff allowed doordash to deliver directly to my room with no questions asked, they brought me an extra blanket at nearly midnight at my request, and directed me to where i could acquire a phone charger after i realised there was no usb-c port, only usb-a. My son also loved their pool, actually fought me to get him back out
Overall though, I'll probably never stay here again. We came for the proximity to Perkins School for the Blind after we had a last minute appointment time change, forcing me to cancel our hilton stay. This hotel was more expensive but reminiscent to me of extended stay, or a similar barely 2 star. It's a shame. I always associated 4 points with luxury, but i guess that's not a...
Read moreI probably would not have written this review if it weren't for the events that unfolded. We booked this hotel as we were looking for an affordable place away from the downtown core. We got a really good deal (basically half the regular price). But as the saying goes, you get what you pay for so we went in not expecting anything more. The front desk employees were friendly. We were booked into room 312 (so the third floor). Upon arriving on the floor, we realized the pool was on the same floor so the air smelled like chlorine and included more guest traffic. But since we paid so little, we were fine with it and decided to see it as easy access to the pool. The room was small with a king bed (we were 2 adults and 1 toddler). We settled into our room and took advantage of the pool. It was small but served it's purpose. We went to bed that night and at around 11:45pm, I started hearing noises. Initially I thought it was just the air conditioner but then I kept hearing the noise and it was picking up speed. So I got up and looked around to realize the ceiling in our room was leaking water!! And of all places, the leak was right on top of our open suitcase with our clothes still in it. I quickly started moving our belongings and woke my husband up. He called the front desk and explained the situation. We could see the leak spreading and more water coming down. The lady working the night shift at the front desk offered to switch our room, which we accepted immediately. We started packing up all belongings and once done, we called back and got confirmation that they had a room ready for us on the 10th floor and we could pick up the keys. My husband moved all our belongings in three trips while I watched our sleeping toddler. Finally, by 12:30am, we were fully moved into our new room. It was definitely an upgrade. The room was bigger, had two queen beds and felt more spacious. The receptionist also gave us complimentary breakfast vouchers for the remaining of our stay. When we spoke yo the manager the next morning and explained that some of our clothes got ruined, he immediately asked us to put them all in a bag by our door and when we arrived back to the hotel at the end of the day, our clothes were dry cleaned and to top it off, the hotel gifted us a book collection for our son and a complimentary charcuterie. Honestly, they went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. They even covered our parking costs for the...

I selected this hotel through the Bonvoy app based on it fitting the criteria I desired. I wasn't able to get to the hotel until the afternoon hours about 1700. I picked up my spouse from the airport and we decided to get her checked in at the hotel on the way to the hospital down the toll road. I noted that the hotel was difficult to enter and it took a bit of concentration to locate the front entrance of the hotel as it sits over top of the tollway 90. There were two handicapped parking areas available at the check in lot. There is a pay parking garage attached to the hotel and adjacent to the front entrance into the hotel. The parking garage has more handicapped parking areas available and regular parking as well. The areas are not good for large trucks or RVs. The entrance was located and I parked and we went into the hotel. We walked to the front desk and a female worker didn't greet us, didn't say hello, nor did she say welcome to the hotel. The worker said "give me your id". My wife was standing there to my side and I looked to see if there was someone else there we had stepped in front of or cut in line. There was no one there but us. My wife said what did she say? Is this the check in desk? I commented that this is the check in window, right? What happened to the smile, good afternoon, welcome to Sheraton, or just hello. DEMANDING my identification upon entering the building was definitely not appropriate. Having a bad day isn't MY fault. I have a choice to choose this location, not the other way around. We finished the check in at the desk, paid for parking, and we went to the room. We dropped off the bags and found that the bathroom door sags and does not properly close as it's hitting the bottom of the frame. One of the window blinds wasn't properly functional. The noise canceling device and the traffic was something to tolerate. Some vehicle drivers passing under the hotel on the tollway, enjoyed throttling the engine. This added noise to an already bad situation. Decent area food spots are walking distance...
