For 2 days in one week, I ordered a 3 piece meal all dark original. The 1st day, in the middle of the afternoon, they had 1 leg & 1 thigh. I waited 30 minutes for my 3rd piece of chicken.
Today, Friday afternoon at 4pm, I placed the same order. They had 1 leg in original & no other dark meat. It was going to be 20 minutes before they would have original chicken. Out of fairness to them, the clerk told me they only had 1 leg in dark meat. He offered me an option. I thought he said 2 thighs. Apparently he said 2 breasts. I heard him wrong. I do not eat white meat so I teturned the meal & asked for a refund.
I have worked food service for years. When you get to a certain point & customers keep coming in, especially on a Friday night, you make more.
I pulled in at 1045 am the other morning to get tacos. The sign on the door said the store opened at 1030 am. The door was locked. I called in to the store to ask if they were open. I was told they were having chicken training & would not open until around 2pm. I suggested they put a sign on the door saying the dining room was not open.
I got a taco 6 pack. The ground beef had no flavor except to taste like old grease. I have eaten at Taco Bellās all over the country & never had tacos from Taco Bell taste bad like these did.
A couple of years ago, with a different manager, the same thing happened with the chicken. They were always out of original. I finally stopped going to the KFC in Newton, Iowa. Thought I would try it again. Thereās a different manager but nothing has changed.
Guess I will continue to get my KFC from...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIt's been quite some time since I've ordered a two piece chicken dinner from Newton's KFC. I quit going some time ago because the chicken legs were consistently awful. I've reluctantly went with my wife a couple times recently and had their spicy chicken sandwich which was totally awesome, great cut of chicken, tender and moist, perfectly prepared. She usually orders the Mexican Pizza which has been consistently good every time. Tonight I picked up a Mexican Pizza to bring home for her and a two piece chicken dinner for me, hoping it would finally be good. Sadly it was awful, I ask for the original but not sure if what I received was overcooked original or overcooked crispy, tough, chewy and pretty scrawny, nothing even remotely close to the chicken of the past and shouldn't have been served. Only one side with the dinner, no longer two, thinking they are selling the sides now for $4.00 small and not worth it. Other restaurants nearby were all pretty busy but not KFC, I can sure see why, doubting if I will ever go back. The coleslaw was ok, nothing to write home to tell the family about, however the biscuit was good, no complaints with it. Where KFC is would be a great location to open up a...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWent there w/granddaughter and her friend after a Big Regional Softball Tournament. Around 8:30 P.M. No staff in sight. Then you hear someone calling for all hands on deck. The woman comes to the cash register and says I have to tell you we are all out of mashed potatoes. So, had to get potatoe wedges. They were cold. Grand-daughter wanted sour cream they said we have to charge you . I said 1st off we wouldn't have ordered potatoe wedges if you had mashed I don't think I should be charged for sour cream. A different employee (a young man) came to my table because I told the woman I was going to complain. I told him My story. He said I'll give you sour cream. Which he did. However, the chicken sandwich I ordered had a dollop of mayo and dill pickles. No lettuce or tomatoe to make choking down the dried out chicken breast any easier to digest. (I threw it away) Wht doesn't managers of establishments keep up with what events are going on locally?? No excuse for running out of (instant) mashed potatoes. Especially, when restaurant is open until 10 P.M. Never go...
