While I have been coming here for many years the service since Covid has gone dramatically down hill. The food is still pretty good, which is why 2 stars and not 1. About a month ago I tried making a delivery order and I usually leave a tip in cash to the driver when they get here. I didn’t use the cc tip option. I noticed my order was cancelled within 2 min of ordering. I called and asked why and was told it was because I didn’t leave a tip. My $50 order was cancelled because I didn’t leave a cc tip. Then more recently I ordered take out on a Sunday evening. When I went in the place was empty and I asked if I could sit down with my takeout order and get a bubble tea and eat there. I was told as long as I was prepared to give the server a tip. I couldn’t sit and order a drink and eat the food that was already prepared for me and already paid for unless I paid a service fee. At a completely empty restaurant. As a 20 year restaurant industry veteran, I was both offended and bewildered how this “demand for tips” is tolerated at this restaurant. Read moreThe woman (Or) who takes your order is very nice, however, the food is really gross. SO greasy, they use tons of oil to the point it is inedible. We got Pad See Ew (the last word sums it up!). The noodles were overcooked, soggy and tasteless. It was the smallest portion and didn't even half fill the container!!! Yet, they still charge $17 for it. Outrageous. We got the vegetable instead of a meat (but they don't charge less for veggies only?!) and there was practically no vegetables at all. Maybe two small pieces of overcooked broccoli and some carrots, literally. The dish was completely flavorless and very disappointing, to say the least. We also got the vegetable red curry, which was also laden with soggy & old tasting veggies and no variety. We put the leftovers in the fridge and once it got cold, there was a huge separation of OIL! Sickening. We threw it out and we're glad we didn't eat it. We will never get food from here again. * * * Try Brown Sugar Cafe, Comm. Ave, Boston ---- THE BEST...
Read moreThe space to eat here isn't bad, but be aware there is no restroom. Which I don't understand the legality of, but in the end what really counts is the food. And by not bad I mean it seems clean, not that eating here is any kind if decent experience.
Which having been here 3 times, trying something new each time, the food is sub-par. This last time I ate here, I ate the seafood prik pow. Didn't even come with the scallops that it was supposed too. Just a pile of bell peppers cut too large, with 6 peices of seafood. Like 3 shrimp and 3 calamari. Sitting on a plate of grease.
Shameful they charge $20 for such garbage.
I'm done giving them chances. They only thing they do consistently is disappoint.
Also, not a hint of spice. Forget the spicy level of however many peppers it says on the menu. Assume a spiciness level of zero on all things.
I won't be...
