The Burger Garage & Ice Cream Shop — Restaurant in Newton

I'm not sure if this place recently changed hands? Or all the good reviews are from the hesston location?... I have literally never had worse food and there's a woman working there who is just not pleasant. Maybe she's going through something, though?. I'll start by saying the kids she has working there are super sweet. She doesn't talk to them very Nicely. Started of bad with getting 4 sliders. They had Swiss cheese on their menu,... So I did sliders with grilled onions add Swiss cheese. The nice girl taking the order says ok. The owner comes up and says "you cannot do swiss on these." And she explained to us that it's because the piece of Swiss cheese a big square and the sliders are too small?? That it's not "cost effective"?? I guess I don't understand? Wouldn't you just cut the piece of cheese?... Anyway, get it home, and the "bun" the slider is on looks soaked in water. Literally nothing bread left about it. There was a tiny piece of an onion and that was it. Took a bite and my body instantly spit it out. Tasted like old grease and nothing else. Looked at the patty (that was Soo small and thin (see pics) and the patty was pink inside.. $30 for 4 sliders ( meat that totaled less than one patty at McDonalds) onion rings, a burger for my husband, and chilli cheese fries (also disgusting. Just a bucket of greasy tasteless chilli. Idk how to even describe it).... I can eat anything. I have an iron stomach. THIS? this was vile, and I'm literally trying to keep from throwing up. It messed with stomach bad.. If we were people who had money to waste, maybe wouldn't be upset. It... Is what it is, I guess... Thing in the pics that looks like spit out food, is just how...

We eat ( ate ) at Burger Garage once or twice a week. Always spending around $50.00.Our food has always been hot and fresh until today. My brother and I wanted to take our Sister out for a late lunch. We told my her how great the food was especially the onion rings. WOW what an embarrassment and disappointment it was today. Everything in our order was cold. The onion rings we had bragged about was COLD and almost burned. Everything about our order was awful. The only thing decent was the fountain soda we ordered. I can understand if they were busy but they were not. There was two tables that had people sitting at them. We got our order to go and went three blocks to eat. So there is no way the food got cold in that short amount of time. Less than 2 minutes from the time we picked it up to when we sat down to eat and it was disgusting. An order of onion rings was missing instead we were given cold disgusting fries. I called them the lady I spoke with was short with me and said to me I wonder what happened to the missing order of onion rings? I'm not sure who ended up with our food but at this point I don't even care. She did offer to replace the Fry's with the missing order of onion rings but I let her know we were already sitting down to eat. Not that they will miss our business but it will be a long time before we go back. We spend about $200.00 a month there but not anymore. I hope they are made aware of this review and they take a little more time in...

What an Amazing home town eatery!! My sons and I arrived late on a Tuesday night just before closing but the attendant was very nice and cheery. The service was fast and friendly. The food was AMAZING!!! My mushroom Swiss burger with BBQ sauce brought back memories of grandma farm and family dinners. I was shocked when the owner remembered what I “usually” order (I hadn’t been there in over a year). The place was clean and tidy… even the kitchen and cooking areas were sparkling - a rarity in a burger shack. My boys loved all the old vintage signs and the happy hotdog man by the condiments table is a hoot!!

Our icecream shakes on the way out the door was the perfect end to a wonderful evening celebrating my youngest sons first high school touchdown the night before.

Definitely a must stop place for great food good service and a fun place to catch a...
