Had both Round Bar pie (thin crust) and the Grandmom pie (thicker crust, halfway between Neo and Sicilian) last night, they were not good. Hopefully this new place with improve, I wish them well, but what we received is nothing like described on website. Website says both pies are cheese on the bottom with red sauce on top finished with pecorino Romano (upside down pizzas). We were excited to try and having gone to Picas for years. We got normal pizzas with cheese on top and a few dollops of sauce. The cheese was burnt on both pies and the thin crust was also burnt. The dough reminded us of frozen pizza, premade stuff. Read moreI really wish the establishment the best of luck but the I did not like the pizza at all. The gravy was like sweet tomato paste, if there was mozzarella on there I did not taste it. The dough had a funky smoked taste to it. It definitely was not made fresh. The 2 woman behind the counter were nice but I am waiting to pick up a pizza and they and they kept picking up the phone taking orders. Mind you my pizza was in the warming tower. Read moreTried the bar pie with pepperoni for a Friday lunch in the car and it was incredible. How is there not a single bar in the area that sells this style of pizza? It is the best. Super thin, crispy, with a nice tang to the sauce, this thing is our new go-to pie. Can’t wait to try the square styles. And I must admit, it was surprisingly easy to eat while driving!
