I hardly ever give a review this bad. This DQ is seriously worse than a 1 star. Shame on this dq for my first experience with them. Shame on me for thinking the second time would be any different. To start everything off, the whole store only had 2 employees working. After 10 minutes of waiting just to finally order, the employee rushed us thru our order. I had a coupon for chicken strips and wanted cheese curds to go with them, but the employee said if she changed it, the coupon would be voided. Every thou i have changed the fries for cheese curds using a coupon at other DQ. After ordering the first things, the employee (the manager)that was cooking before we finished ordering placed a small fry and a burger under the heat lamp (which sat up there for at least 10 minutes if not longer until the rest of the order was done (ended up being a part of ours). We also told the employee that the food was to go (important part that plays a role later). After we finished orders, we decided we wanted to order ice cream, but at that point, the employee walked away, and after several times of trying to get her attention, we just gave up. Once our whole order was done, the cook/manager placed all our food on a tray to take to the dining area. Since we were the only ones in the restaurant, I assumed it was our order. So I told him that the order was to go. He then proceeds to tell me that we should have told the cashier. I told him that we did tell the cashier. When we got home, of course, the burger and fries that sat under the heat lamp were basically ice cold. I'm done with this DQ. I will drive out of the way to go to other than to...
Read more$45 for "PUBLIC POOL FOOD" and not one sauce for less than $1.00. Just went here and spent $45.00 for 3 chicken boxes, totalling (18) chicken fingers and when I asked for 1 honey mustard they said it would cost $1.00 for each sauce. Then when I asked why I couldn't have one honey mustard when I just bought (18) chicken fingers, they said they are ran by corporate and they make them charge that much for one sauce. After some research...most and if not this one are all franchises and they control the pricing of things like condiments, it is actually the corporate ran Dairy Queens that don't charge for things like condiments. Further research has shown that most Dairy Queens that do charge for condiments only charge 25 cents for ranch and 50 cents for honey mustard, highest prices I could find were 80 cents for honey mustard, and only do so to offset delivery service fees, so it's safe to say this place is taking advantage of Nicholasville citizens. This place is a rip off and the owners are to blame. Managers seem to have their hands tied and can't make decisions without "Corporate". JUST GO SOME PLACE ELSE AND SUPPORT A REAL JESSAMINE OWNED BUSINESS THAT CARES, MANGERS TOLD ME THIS LOCATION IS RAN BY "CORPORATE"...at least go to the 900 South Main Dairy Queen location, pretty sure they are NOT corporate ran and are a local franchise, it's only a few miles away.
Call me crazy but I thought the chicken finger was the delivery system for the sauce, especially honey mustard.
I also have a video of this...
Read moreIf I could leave no stars I would, cause this DQ sucks plain and simple waited 15 minutes for hotcakes, 1/2order biscuits and gravy with scrambled eggs and sausage, gravy was cold sausage was still grey in color just like it comes our of the box frozen before you cook it ,pink in the middle, personally id5be ashamed to even have this joke of a restaurant open much less call it dairy queen or a fast food restaurant for that matter, only reason I know what's wrong I worked at a dq and trust when I say that if we let anyone wait for food in lobby or drive thru our manager would absolutely go ballistic and made sure food was always hot fresh and served quickly the way a fast food restaurant is supposed to work, hopefully that general manager sees this and walks in, fires the whole damn crew ,hires people that care and know what they are doin and at least halfway try to live up to the fast food standards, dq was never meant to be a sit down restaurant, that's what steakhouses are for fast food you walk order get HOT fresh food quickly and...
