The Home Stretch Bar and Grill — Restaurant in Nicholasville

I went here with my fiancé and his family for some feel-good, classic bar food. The dishes here were delicious and the service was top-notch!

Our waitress was lovely and attentive. Our dishes came out promptly, and she checked on us often to see how we were doing. Over at the bar, the bar tender was having heart-to-hearts with many of the customers there, many of whom I could tell were regulars. She also sang as she made drinks, and I made sure to compliment her beautiful singing voice!

I got their Fish & Chips, which were cooked perfectly. Crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside. It came with coleslaw, fries and tartar sauce, and was absolutely scrumptious. My fiancé got their Home Stretch Burger, which had double bacon and double cheese on a brioche bun. He said it was phenomenal!

We love Home Stretch. Personally the whiskey burger, and white pizza steals my heart. If you are looking for good food I would fully recommend Home Stretch. Here are my TINY issues I do have (as to why there are 4 and not 5 stars) I feel like for the price you pay for appetizers for example a "Basket O' Shrooms" is $8.99, about your average app. price any where. Though, I feel as though the portions provided do not warrant the price tag. To fully enjoy the app. you need to get one basket for each person. Same for Loaded tots $9.99, I got these as a side for my wings which were delicious. However, the portion is the size of a typical side for one person, not an app. for a table. OK, we came in on Friday night for dinner. It was about 645pm And it look like the parking lot was packed. We got a table right away. They were three of us. ReeRee was ou server and she was really friendly and very professional. She gave us great recommendations on the menu. My son ordered the homestretch burger which was huge with fries. My husband ordered the Fish and chips, and I had the hot wings. All of the food got to the table so hot that none of us could eat it right away. (Impressive!) All of it was delicious and we took about half of it home because the portions were huge. The atmosphere was that of a sports bar, and fun, with tons of TVs.
