Let me preface this by saying that I am a frequent customer @ this location (100 Village Pkwy, Nicholasville, KY) and my experiences are almost always extremely positive, I believe it would be unfair not to take that fact into consideration.
Regarding this particular visit, I intended to drive-thru for a medium choc. shake. When it was my turn to order, I was acknowledged promptly and pleasantly. When I reached the window and was informed of my total, I realized that the exact same order was, for some reason, approx. 50¢ cheaper in the mobile app ( I do this regularly at many different restaurants to ensure that my total is accurate). After conferring with her supervisor, they told me there was no way to manually override the price since the difference was not the result of a mobile coupon. I decided that since my shake hadn't been made yet and thus nothing would go to waste, I would pull into a drive-thru stall and place the order via the mobile app. They were completely cool and understanding when I told them this. Once the order had been placed, I ended up waiting an excessive length of time for my order. I always try to be understanding when something like this happens, but they were not busy AT ALL. Normally a comparable order takes no longer than 5 minutes to arrive at my window, even during busy times. I waited 12 minutes in my car, and then decided to go inside and make sure there were no issues with my order. Inside, the first thing I noticed was the strong smell of dirty mop water. Theres no other way to describe it, and it definitely should not have been present. The front-of-house workers were not paying particularly close attention, it took another 2 minutes to be acknowledged and another 5 minutes of waiting on my order (it hadn't been started, for some reason). When I finally did get my shake, I noticed that it HAD in fact been made correctly. Furthermore, it was as good as always, so no complaints at all in that regard.
All-in-all, this Sonic is one of the better, more consistent ones I've ever been to. I've never had bad quality food, or rude service. To be clear, I WOULD recommend this location.. The only reason I am deducting a star is because my latest visit resulted in a moderate inconvenience since I had somewhere I needed to be. 9 times out of 10 though, you'll have a satisfactory experience....
Read moreI really am not one to complain but I have dealt with so many crappy experiences, that now, I feel I have no choice. I know that it is mostly fairly young adults/teenagers who work at this location but that still isn’t an excuse for terrible service. There have been multiple occasions in which we are greeted absolutely terribly. We are not unkind people. We actually APOLOGIZED because after 10 minutes of sitting at the drive thru speaker we simply said hello to see if anyone was taking orders. Once we finally got to the window, we apologized for doing that and the incredibly rude young lady at the window, snapped on us for no reason, saying she’s busy because an employee walked out. That’s about the second or third time we have been told of an employee walking out. I do understand that is tough but there is something to say as to why multiple employees are walking out on their shifts and the workers are taking it out on customers. I have lived here my entire life. I know the hours like the back of my hand. It’s a monday night. The store closes at 1:00am. I arrived at 12:30 to employees I can HEAR having conversation but they are refusing to take any orders, I’m guessing because they know they’re off in 30 minutes and they think they’re done for the night. I sat at both the speaker and window for a total of 15 minutes with other customers behind me, who had sat at a car side to go for some time. Closing at 1:00, does not mean to refuse making any DRINKS at 12:30. I did not even want food. I just wanted a drink and not a single employee would even give me the time of day to simply speak to me. I’m sure there are cameras present and those can be checked for verification. I again understand that everyone makes mistakes, we are human. But 90% of the time, my order is wrong or missing items and it’s like pulling a tooth to simply get those items without eye rolling and attitude. I don’t know if this is a manger issue, a training issue, or what but I have heard nothing but terrible things from fellow neighbors, friends, and peers. I don’t even want anything out of this. I don’t want a coupon or a free item. I just want employees to be prepped and trained better. I could never imagine treating customers the way some of these employees do. And it is not ALL, but they do make up the majority and that’s not okay,...
Read moreSo the lady taking our order seem like she had somewhere else to be while running around filling up everything instead of taking our order The little girl in the drive-thru was very helpful and grabbing everything and delivering our food she did everything but take the order which she seemed like she was running most of the front line and the drive-thru just by herself you needed a raise. To get to the food order to double hamburger one patty was burnt and the other patty seem to be half raw The lettuce that was on it seemed old and wilted and whoever was making the burger must have light onions because there was half of a diced onion if not more shoved on that burger. My niece that was with me ordered a corn dog which the tip was burnt which is still kind of mind-boggling and my girls hot dogs seem to be the best and only thing that was completely consumable that we've ordered. The inside of the Sonic look amazing with spotless clean The lady taking my order also told me that the soda machine was down simply because she had just got done cleaning it 3 hours prior to them closing and didn't want to use it so again the girl running the drive through was very prompt to help us and get us new drinks and condiments as we needed them service from her was outstanding food...
