First of all, my family and I LOVE Chick-fil-A. I've been to numerous restaurants in several states. The Skokie location is closer to home and we were very excited when it opened. Its been several weeks since opening and while there probably should be growing pains...they have several issues they need to work out.
I have been in here 4 different times and each time the dining room has been a mess. Tables are not being cleaned even though they have numerous employees working - many of which appear to be standing around and not doing anything. One occasion almost ALL the tables were dirty and few customers eating in the dining room.
Customer service is slow (again maybe since they are new its a learning curve?) 2 cashiers working but a line took forever to get through....again with other employees standing around. One of them looked to be a manager by her different dress. She stood behind the cashiers and appeared to be washing her hands for the entire time I was in line. Perhaps she could have stepped up and assisted by opening another register and alleviate the line? But of all Chick-fil-A's I've visited its never taken almost 20 mins for food to be brought to our table.
Lastly we had an issue with order correctness (and from talking with friends they have experienced this as well). My wife and son ordered food in drive-through for 3 people and brought it home. When she got home she 3 orders of fries and NO chicken at all (We should have checked the bags before leaving and that's on us). Tried calling 3 times...no answer. She drives back there and goes inside...waits in line and explains the problem. The manager gives her the 3 missing boxes of tenders with an apology (and that's it). She gets home and what do you know...all three boxes are missing a tender. Called back and this time manager(?) offered three boxes upon next visit and took name.
Again - LOVE Chick-fil-A and hope the Skokie location is just going through opening pains.
*Update 10/13/17
They have really got their act together and this is now an enjoyable experience. The staff is doing great and I'm changing my rating to 5 stars. Keep up...
Read moreI’ve had various levels of success at this location, but the poor implementation of mobile curbside service during my last visit prompted me to write this review.
With the recent restrictions on entering the dining room, I decided to order through the Chick Fil-A app for a curbside order on a Tuesday evening around 7:30 pm. When I arrived, I checked in and entered my space number. My card was charged, and I was told that my order would be ready soon.
In the meantime, I saw that the restaurant was pretty busy, with a steady stream of cars entering and exiting the drive through.
After about a 4 minute wait, I was alerted on my phone that my order was complete and would be out soon. As I sat in my car, I continued to watch the succession of cars that were being serviced in the drive through line, through my rear view mirror, being that the space I parked in was right in front of its exit. I continued to wait, and counted the number of cars that were served in the drive through. Once I counted 15 cars be served, and saw that 12 minutes had passed since the “your order will be out soon” alert, I decided to move to the drive through line to pick up my order myself.
By the time I got my order, which was without an apology for the oversight, but simply a large bag thrust towards me, with a “here you go”, about 20 minutes had passed from the time I pulled into my curbside spot and checked in. The food, namely the thick waffle fries that were part of both combos that I ordered were lukewarm. I would have turned around to ask for new fries, but the drive through line had gotten even longer.
Needless to say, I’ll be hesitant to try this method of ordering again, and will wait until our social distancing guidelines are lifted to...
Read moreToday is the day where I draw the line against corporate America and it's abuse on the working class people! If I knew the outcome of this encounter beforehand I would have avoided it. Point blank period. But knowing chick FIL a, for it's top standards I decided to use MY hard earn money to eat at this establishment. If I knew that all I would be charge for is lies and deception I would have just gone for my first choice, McDonald's. At least there I know I'm paying for mediocracy, but never at chick FIL a, so I thought. Today I encountered a repeated offense specific to this chick FIL a location. Yet again they forget a simple chicken sandwich. A chicken sandwich that was going to be my only aliment of the day due to the way my time schedule is set up. Yet when I went at 11:08AM(according to my receipt) there was no type of line at the drive thru at this current location. No type of rush to forget something so simple. Yet so essential. It breaks my heart knowing this chick FIL a was one of the few, if only, fast food restaurants I still trusted with ordering at the drive thru and then riding home knowing when I arrive all the money I have spent will be worth it as long as all the food is there. Do you know how heartbreaking it is to get home and have your one piece of happiness for the day not be in the greasy white paper bag that holds food for gods? This happened to my sister last week with her chicken sandwich too! And you guys are lucky she doesn't write yelp reviews or she'd tear you a new one. Either way I think this will be one of the last, if not the last time I spend my money at this establishment. Good bye and good riddance. Sincerely Luis Sosa Tran number: 6913 Total:...
