Time is 10:17 pm just called Dengeo’s a couple of minutes ago because they messed up my family’s order! My mom bought my dad lunch had ordered over the phone Onion Rings, a Steak Sandwich and a Chocolate Cake! The guy was rude over the phone rushing my mom to order and be rude with her over the phone instead of having the decency to have manners and be patient with her as she was ordering. When she gave her card over the phone he was saying “Woah Woah, being rude acting like he couldn’t hear and she was repeating the card slowly and with great pronunciation!
We were charged over the phone at least $23.00 and was not given a Chocolate Cake but on the Receipt MilkShake which they didn’t give either after we paid for the item!! The Chocolate cake was $5.00 Ridiculous!
My dad drove there then came home only to be disappointed that there was no Chocolate Cake or Milkshake on the receipt as stated!
I immediately called the store and they claimed my dad walked out before they could even make it!
First of all dumbfounded lady, it’s your job to make sure the customer gets what they paid for before they leave with their food and to make sure that before the customer comes to pick up their meal everything is in the bag and that you give good customer service to make sure they have everything!
I work in retail and know and make sure that the customer is always taken care of and well-respected on the phone and in public when visiting your restaurant.
No, you did not give good customer service, nor did the guy talking to my beloved mother over the phone!
We will not be ordering food from your restaurant anymore after the disrespect we received.
Customers, please be aware of where you choose to Dine, because Excellent Hospitality Customer Service is Number 1, If a restaurant or any business can’t provide this they do not deserve to be in Business.
Dengeos is no longer worth the positive feedback and stars that it appears to be!
The Food is not the same 21 years ago, it fell down hill! And the Workers are more rude than ever!
When you disrespect my parents you disrespect me, all you care about is money not making customers happy!
You think refunding 5.00 after being rude over the phone is going to replace your attitude?
And you still were rude after refunding?
Looks...
Read moreOne of my favorite restaurants in the Northern suburbs, Dengeos, has a little bit of everything. Dengeos is a Family-style, char-grill restaurant that specializes in comfort food. You can find something for everyone here. They specialize in chicken cooked on the char grill. It is served with your choice of rice, roasted potatoes, or French fries. You can choose from Greek-style, barbecue or roasted. They also serve ribs, skirt steak(cooked to order), burgers, and pasta. Their sandwiches are generous and filling. You can get anything from a tuna melt to a Gyro (sandwichor platter) to an Italian style beef. My absolute favorite thing to order at Dengeos is the Village Greek salad. It's everything you love in a Greek salad(peppers, onions, tomatoes, anchovy, etc.) but without the lettuce. Each salad it topped with planks of feta cheese...Yummy! The drinks are self-service with free refills if you dine in. The atmosphere is very informal, family-friendly, and self-service. You place your order, fill your drink, and grab your eating utensils while you wait for your ticket to be called. You pick up your tray and find a table. There are dining room attendants who will bring you refills of soda or napkins if you ask. They are very helpful and help clear away the trays so you have room at your table. I try to bring cash to tip them. The food is tasty, filling, and generously portioned. Be prepared to take home leftovers. The television monitor is usually playing some sports event and gives the place a festive atmosphere. They also offer great take-out. You can place an order in advance and pick it up, or order inside to go. I really enjoy coming here. I think there is something here that will please even the pickiest eater. The price point is moderate ($15-$25 for dinner and drinks). If you are near the Evanston, Lincolnwood, Skokie area, and want a tasty, family-friendly place to eat, get the family together and pay a...
Read moreMy family and I’ve been coming to Dengeos for over ten years. Today I’ve experienced the most absurd, rude, inconsiderate customer service of my life. I ordered a chicken philly sandwich with no mushrooms. When I got to the register and the young lady was charging me for my order, I noticed instead of removing mushrooms they added them to my order. So I kindly explained to him that I didn’t want the mushrooms, but I also didn’t want them on my sandwich. The gentleman that always wears the hat and has glasses overheard and told me “I didn’t ask for no mushrooms, that I asked to add them to my order”. I don’t eat mushrooms never have so I explained this to him and told him that “I don’t mind picking the mushrooms off my sandwich but I don’t want the order of mushrooms”. Instead he continues to tell me over and over “that is not what I said that I ordered mushrooms and that he took my order”. At this point I told him that “Im not going to continue the back and forth”. Not only did it make me uncomfortable but I can only feel for the young lady that was handling my order. I told the gentlemen “ instead of continuing to tell me what I’ve said, you could have acknowledged that their might of been miscommunication and apologized”. Then just waived him off because at that point I was done with him. Didn’t even bother to ask for his name because he was just so extremely rude. It’s extremely unprofessional and for all my years spent in the service industry I cannot believe what I’ve encountered today. It took everything in me not to walk out of the restaurant today, but unfortunately I do not believe I will...
