Marshalls — Local services in Evanston Township

I had a terrible customer service experience at this Marshalls location, particularly with two employees, Shamim and Faisal, who handled my return. It was clear they were unfamiliar with the store’s own return policy and were inconsistent in their statements, making the process unnecessarily confusing and frustrating. They insisted the return time frame was 30 days, and that is correct under normal circumstances. I will attach a picture of the updated return policy that can also be found online. Keep in mind, I bought these items October 17.

What made it worse was the lack of professionalism and respect. I felt humiliated by the way I was treated, which is unacceptable for any paying customer. Employees should prioritize resolving issues respectfully and consistently, but that was not the case here.

If you do visit this location, I strongly suggest avoiding Shamim and Faisal. Overall, this is not one of the better Marshalls stores, and I doubt I’ll be returning...

They are scam. I went instore to buy a plant stand. I saw this stand it has no other tag than the clearance $10. It does have scratches. Also it was placed with all the other plant stands ranges $7.99 to $9.99. When I went on cashier. There was a lady. She asked this other cashier. About the price he acted wired. He was like this is not a right price. I was like what is the price of this stand. The lady called someone and took a while and man said $12.80 excluding tax . Don’t go there they price manipulates. They put clearance tags on items which doesn’t have any other tags and when you will take it to the cashier they want to sell that thing on regular price. U have to have ur own bag. U may not take the shopping cart to the parking lot. U can spend 500+ dollars in the store and they have no security to help u to get ur purchased goods to ur car safely. They say buy a 4$ bag ide have to buy 5+ bags an stil at that can't hold it all and go to my car safely. I'm not from the area just Googled the stores location and went no where does it state this b4 u purchase ur goods. Very upsetting to a person who doesn't live here and who this isn't a norm at all .
