It's been at least twenty years that I have driven passed Herm's Palace. Not once had I ventured in until yesterday.

I was greeted by a gentleman with a larger than life persona, a real man's man, someone you want to take fishing and introduced to you sister type of guy. Let me tell you, his name was Scott, Scott new people's orders from their previous visits, that is service. People ordering the usual, loved it!

Seeing this when I was asked what I wanted I told the gentleman, surprise me. Boy did he, an amazing Rib-eye sandwich. This was thick and crispy, easy to eat and delicious!! Order of fries that were reminiscent of old school McyDs.. Outstanding experience!!

I seriously can't wait for my next visit to Herm's Palace. I need to eat my way through that menu, if what everyone is saying is true, this is a gem I've slept...

This place is the "best case scenario" for a family owned hot dog/burger joint that can be. Brothers own it. The place has been in the family 50 years and these guys KNOW the business like the back of their hands. I found that out when I asked how he could possibly remember a complicated order and fulfill everything without taking a single note. Dude took our order, remembers everything accurately. Freaking billed us at the end adding it up IN HIS HEAD 100% ACCURATELY! (Like an hour and a half later) We did the math afterward because that was so amazing, I just had to know if he was right or not. He actually was. This was for a table of 5 too. The price was just as impressive for the food you get! This is our new spot for sure. We'll be going back every time we're in skokie. I can't recommend this place...
