14 Mill Market
Visited Thursday afternoon, June 15, 2023 at 2:45 pm. The venue was about 20% of capacity. Awesome venue inside and out! Ten restaurant vendors and a bar
Not’Cho Ordinary Tacos, Mo Slider Company, Queen City Soul Kitchen, Liege Love Waffle Company, D’Vine Deli, Pie Paradiso (Pizza), Lindsay’s Kitchen & Bistro, Fresh Poke, Abby’s Açaí Company, Sno Biz, and Wisner Bar
High tops and standard tables seating from 2 to 8, two soda outlets and restrooms inside.
Covered outdoor seating with outside table and chairs and an outdoor recreation/entertainment area with six cornhole sets and an entertainment stage for their Friday and Saturday evening performers.
Very relaxing, safe and communal setting for families, couples, singles, seniors and teens.
Really love the concept and the venue.
All dining options are walk up counter orders and come back and pick it up when it’s ready. Every vendor asks for a tip with 15%, 20%, 22% preset options and custom and no-tip options.
We ordered from four vendors:
Not’Cho Ordinary Tacos - we enjoyed the very fresh and tasty tacos - Never Fake Cheese Steak tacos and Hawaiian Surf & Turf tacos. They were all excellent and about $15 for 3 - they don’t permit a build your own taco set of three but they should so people can sample more flavors! We also ordered the nachos and queso. The nacho portion size was small but there was plenty of queso. Pie Paradiso - we ordered three different slices of pizza (cheese -$4; pepperoni - $5; sausage - $5) to taste one of everything they had available. While the sausage pizza was supposed to also have red peppers on it, I was told they had no peppers. The pizza sat out in a warm display and was never re-heated before served. The crust was thin, stiff, dry and without flavor. The sauce was acidic and tangy. The cheese was relatively sparse and just “meh” in flavor. The meat toppings were flavorful and sufficient in quantity. But, these pizza slices certainly don’t remotely compare to other local pizza restaurant pizza creations. Abbie’s Açaí - Excellent! Ordered the Pina Colada bowl for $9.20. A little pricey but the bowl was made with fresh, quality products and was quite tasty! Lindsay’s Kitchen & Bistro - Excellent fresh, moist and very chocolate $4 brownie. A little pricey for portion size. Didn’t seem to have a lot of product available but nice menu. They were making cinnamon rolls when I arrived but I didn’t see any ready for purchase. I’m sure they are just working through all of that as it’s a new location.
Overall, I spent $71.86 for 6 tacos, 3 slices of pizza, 1 açaí bowl, and 2 soft drinks. That felt a little pricey for the food alone but the venue’s atmosphere adds value to the...
Read moreIf you’re looking for a place that’s got the perfect blend of cold drinks, good vibes, and a staff so charming they should come with a warning label, look no further than Wisner Bar. This isn’t just a bar; it’s a life experience.
Let’s start with Logan, the smooth operator behind the bar. Logan’s like the human embodiment of a cocktail—cool, refreshing, and always hits just right. Need a drink that matches your mood? Logan’s got you covered. Just don’t ask him for his “secret recipe” unless you’re prepared for a wink and a nod.
Then there’s Gus. Gus is like the bar’s unofficial therapist—except her advice comes in the form of shots. Having a bad day? Gus will listen, pour you something strong, and probably make a joke about your ex that’s so spot-on you’ll wonder if she’s been reading your diary.
Now, Kevin is a man of mystery. He’s the guy who knows everything about everyone, yet no one knows how he does it. Need a table on a packed Friday night? Kevin is your guy. He might not tell you his secrets, but he’ll definitely tell you where the best seats in the house are. Just don’t be surprised if he disappears like a bar ninja right after.
Finally, there’s Ryan. If Gus is the therapist, Ryan is the hype man. This guy will turn any night into a party—whether it’s Trivia Tuesday or a random Wednesday that needs a little extra spice. Ryan’s got the jokes, the energy, and probably an emergency stash of confetti for when things really get going.
So, if you’re in the mood for a great time with even greater people, make your way to Wisner Bar And remember, with Kevin, Ryan, Gus, and Logan around, you’re not just a customer—you’re part of the family (the slightly dysfunctional, totally hilarious...
Read moreThe good news is that a food hall like this is very welcome and is a large benefit to the community of this area. The venue itself is clean and nice, and it was a good idea to start up this food hall. Unfortunately my time spent here was more than unsatisfactory. The impression that I got while trying to spend a nice evening with my friends was that the vendors knew that this is a "premium" type of experience for customers, due to the novelty and community centered atmosphere which gives a different type of experience then eating out at any other joint. I think it is utterly ridiculous to sell one slider for $5. It costs $10 to get a small square waffle, smaller than if you made it at home. It is $4-$6 for a singular slice of pizza (depending on the toppings) that is smaller than a slice of pizza that was served back in my high school. I saw a small child eating two slices in order to fill her up. Not to mention the $16 poke bowl I got that had at most a cup of rice mixed with the toppings. I personally feel like every single food item is extremely over priced and not of a quality that would justify the price, let alone portioned accordingly. I am comparing this experience with other food halls my friends and I have been to, ie. ones in LA and St Louis. Neither of them had issues with pricing as they offered larger portions, or the food was of good quality. I left feeling scammed. It is a disappointment because this food hall has great business potential, and the potential to become a large community hub. Again the atmosphere and cleanliness, as well as the personality of the individual vendors' areas were great. The food was what...
