Seen this place on my way to ozark,mo thought I would give them a try. I Will definitely come back again. First impression- the restaurant was clean with no dirty tables and very well lit. I was seated promptly in the dining room as I prefer not to sit in the bar. My server KeAnna was right over to take my drink order. She was very attentive and forthcoming with information about the items on the menu. I ordered a cup of the brisket chili with the chicken and ribs combo. Sides were house made chips and poblano crème brûlée corn.
The chili came out very quick, it had good flavor almost sweet, not very spicy though (it is in Missouri). I ordered my entree dry with the sauce on the side. The ribs were smoked very close to perfect good smoke bark and seasoning, the chicken was very moist with good flavor. The chips were good and the corn was amazing. KeAnna checked back several times to make sure my drink never ran dry and I didn’t need anything. Some of the best service I’ve had in a while. The food was good enough that I ordered one of the hatch burgers to go for lunch tomorrow. But sadly I couldn’t wait to taste it so I had part of it for a snack. Yum The only criticism I have is that the spicy items aren’t very spicy. The bbq sauces are all very sweet. But as I said I would definitely come back and KeAnna deserves a raise her customer service is second to...
Read moreOur family loved the Gettin' Basted location on Glenstone, we were sad when it closed. Recently we drove to the Nixa location and were disappointed. While the ambience is nicer, newer, there seems to be less room, especially for a large party. Our group this visit was 10 people and there was not room for everyone to sit at one table. The menu appears to be the same however some of the substitutions the Glenstone location would make, the Nixa location would not. The waiter did offer a suggestion that became essentially the same dish but at a higher cost. The restaurant was busy but not packed. During our visit there was no waiting for a table, and always a few empty tables. The server was attentive and delivered drinks promptly. The coffee was cold, and the sodas were flat and a little warm. Replacements were delivered with no fuss, but the soda was still flat and warm. Food was delivered promptly considering the large party and it being a busier time. Some of the food was cold and the smoky flavor the Springfield location had was missing at the Nixa location. The pork sandwich has such large pieces of pork (instead of shredded) that it was impossible to eat as a sandwich. Because of our experiences at the now closed Springfield location we know this restaurant has the potential to be great. We will visit again and hope this was...
Read moreStarted off with fried okra for our appetizer (not really my thing but my GF likes them). They were nice and crispy. They came with 2 sauces. One was similar to Outback's bloomin onion dipping sauce, and the other was a spicy bbq sauce. We had a mix of bacon and brisket burnt ends, both were extremely tender and delicious! The smoked turkey was crazy good. It had so much flavor they must either marinate or inject the breasts. The brisket was juicy, with a great bark on the outer edge. It had an amazing pull, and in my honest opinion the flavor couldn't have been better. The jalapeño smoked sausage, was good, but it was upstaged by the other meats. The baked beans had a medley of butter, navy, pinto beans. It was delicious, but was just a little soupy. The pablano corn brulee was very delicious. The corn had a nice char and the cream sauce was delicious. I liked the chives that were added to the top.
Our male server was super friendly and he made great recommendations for us to try. Our drinks never ran empty, and he stopped by to check on us periodically.
Our only regrets are that we didn't try the ribs or take any pictures...
That gives us another reason to return besides...
