Been coming to Pizza King since before i coukd walk. Im now 34. Its an absolute must when visiting back in Indiana. A must. A staple. This time...... walk in the front door, no greeting no hello, nothing, dirty tables with plates up and down the rows so my family and I walk to the back room and sit ourselves in a booth. Complete silence, no music playing, no radio, nothing. Pick up the phone to order and no response. Some came out after a few minutes of sitting in a silent room wondering if we should go to the counter or .? Order breadsticks to start, one small pizza, and ine large and two regular drinks, one small. Food always hits, no complaints there. 3 napkins, 3 tiny individual napkins were brought to the table, had toask for more multiple times. Fast forward to end of the meal. 55 dollars and some change for two pizzas and breadsticks. Idc about the cost, id pay 100 dollars to have my pizza king when im town, but I had some pizza left over i wanted to take back home with me(we all know cold pizza king in the morning is the holy grail) and was told i wpuld have to pay 2 dollars if i wanted a to go box! Again i really dont care at all about the money. (Id buy 50 pizzas to take with me if i get figure out the logistics of bringing it on a plane to take home) but after spending over 50 bucks for two pizzas and being asked to pay 2 dollars to get a box doesnt sit right with me. The moment a place starts nickel and diming the one thing that keeps them open (guests) then youve lost me. Food was great but its been my last bite of the...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe food is usually really good. The staff is hit and miss... They had one gal that was fabulous! She was a delivery driver and really sweet - she always waved to our dogs through the window, it's the little things. The other day old boy gave me a lecture about feeding my dogs pizza. First of all, they are 2 mini poodles and a yorkie poo, you dig? They deserve it. And ok we spoil them a bit.
Tonight I called and they asked (yet again) which neighborhood I lived in. Not sub-division, neighboorhood. I said Old Wellington, it's at 146th and Allisonville road. I told him , "you all deliver to us all the time (2-4 times per month)". He got snarky and was like, "Well, we're required to check sir!" The funny thing is - when you get on the Pizza King website - it actually tells you the closest location as well as which store to order from. Oh well..... The store is 2.3 miles from my house and the guy was like, well, you're almost out of our delivery area. It begs the question, "Jesus Christ, how big IS your delivery area? Damn." And they deliver here ALL THE TIME......
The delivery gal was...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis place is ridiculous! The last 3 times I've been here I was told a varying time & I called before coming in & they said the pizza wad gong in the oven & would be ready in 10 min. 15 min later I get there & three just making the pizza! Last time I came in 1/4 of my 16" pizza didn't even have topping on it & when I asked for them to remake it they made me a medium pizza & gave me my cold pizza & bread sticks back with a medium pizza! I don't even understand the thinking that would go into that! They only reimbursed me $6 of my over $30 order before they have me the med pizza. In all I waited over 30 min to get my pizza & after complaining several times to the "manager" another lady that seemed to be higher up have me a coupon for free pizza & bread sticks. So I come back in today for it & was told 15 min. I know that's not accurate out of experience & come in 30 min later to find they are just starting to make my pizza! I don't get to eat out often bc it expensive but I will NEVER come here again!...
