I have Celiac Disease and therefore have to eat gluten free. I haven't had a sandwich in over a year. I havent even thought about trying the sub here because of all the cross contamination with all of their regular subs being made and most gluten free bread is less than desirable. Well, I went in not certain i would even eat there. Had to find out their process on preparing a gluten free sandwiches. I liked to have cried.. they cleaned the slicer, the work area, change gloves, had dedicated cutleries for gluten free usage and a clean tray to prepare my sandwich on to ensure i wouldnt get sick. This was something people like me never really experience. Most times we avoid eating out at all because people don't understand just how severe it is and/or assume it's just a fad diet and don't take the food prep seriously - then i pay the price of being violently ill for days. I will say i am not a fan of the bread and think it would be much better if you were able to toast it. Since the flat top is used to toast the regular bread, you're unable to toast the gluten free bread on it and it's unfortunate because toasting it would make a world of difference. Other than the not so yummy bread, everything else between those gluten free buns was delicious! So my 5 star review is mainly focused on the kindness, diligence and awareness your store showed today. I just want to make the small suggestion to bring in some kind of toasting station for the Celiacs that frequent the store as i learned i am not alone in needing such precautions at that location. Thank you to the staff that really took great care of me and didnt make me feel like a thorn in the rear having to take all those precautions so i could simply eat a sandwich like the rest of the world. Read moreAbsolutely the worst experience we’ve ever had at Jersey Mike’s. We ordered food for our family of five and waited over an hour for delivery only to receive completely wrong subs. Not just a small mix-up ,everything was incorrect. Mistakes can happen, but what really set this apart was the complete lack of accountability or effort to fix it.
When I called the store, I spoke with the manager and explained the situation. Instead of apologizing or offering a reasonable solution, she told me I’d have to drive 25 minutes back to the store and reorder everything myself. When I asked for a refund so I could simply place a new order — especially since my son has food allergies and couldn’t eat what we received — she flat-out refused. She was rude, condescending, and dismissive the entire time.
