Marco's Pizza — Restaurant in Nocatee

I am posting this at three because it is not consistent. When they first opened I was very impressed as was with my family because they actually made a beautiful pizza and we that they made pizza better than some of the non-chain shops that were true new York Pizza as they put a lot of beautiful toppings. However over time they have fallen off and we have to now purchase double toppings just to get a good amount of toppings that you can actually taste and sometimes they don’t even follow instructions or give you extra cheese when you order it. We had one terrible experience where we were missing so many toppings they were not even on the pizza at all and we called the supposed manager and she was so rude and didn’t apologize for the experience treating us like it was our fault that they made the pizza wrong and we used to go there once a week but now we have not been there in about four months because we never can count on how the pizza is going to be - it could be great or it could be awful and if we call we do not want to deal with a manager with a terrible attitude. They replaced the pizza but they were so rotten that we just would not want to deal with them again which is sad because sometimes it can be good other times it’s terrible and we spend almost $50 on a pizza due to having to get double toppings to taste them not to mention the ridiculous delivery fee for a 2 mile drive and tip and they frequently over bake the crust and it’s so hard it’s not enjoyable. They ask you to do surveys that go to corporate but they never call you or email you are you trying to make anything right or talk to the store to educate employees so it doesn’t seem they really care. It is a shame because they started off great but now we do not patronize this place and if they keep going like this they’ll be out of business. We are in a recession right now and you want to enjoy what you are purchasing and I would rather drive to get it then have it delivered and have it taste like cardboard or like some of those chains that are cheaper that...

I went to pick up a take out order Friday night, the gentleman was very kind but Amelia, seemed to be in a rush, I paid cash and they only had ones...so the gentleman gave me larger bills from his own wallet. I was on my way home and I noticed they forgot to add my ham to the Deluxe, so I made a phone call, I was very kind, but Amelia was not very happy and said she would credit us $5.00 and would not remake the pizza because they were closed now. Well today, 2/12 Monday...the general manager called and said NO... she credited us the entire pizza because regardless of the time, if a customer says hey, you forgot my toppings, they are supposed to remake the pizza for you instantly, regardless of the time. Well ms. . Dawn the General Manager had excellent customer service skills and excellent management skills to inform the shift manager Amelia to not do this again and they are required to remake the pizza regardless of closing time, and not think that a 5.00$ credit will fix the issue. We all know what its like to want to hang out on weekends and go home....but the customer does come first regardless of their plans. I hope Ms. Dawn keeps that Iron fist kickin bc their food is still wonderful and we all understand people make mistakes. Thank you Ms. Dawn for handling this situation absolutely flawlessly . Marco's tends to be our go-to pizza take out place. We love the taste of the food (both the pizza & wings) but the service is definitely hit-or-miss in this location (Murabella.) case in point, my husband walked in and placed an order IN PERSON (because I called it in to the wrong location & he had gone to pick it up.). This location had no problem in making the order for us and in a much quicker manner, however they still got the order incorrect! They mixed up the quantity & placement of the pizza toppings and added sauce to the chicken wings (but we asked for no sauce.) One other issue we have is that they don't deliver to our address, yet we see the delivery driver in the neighborhood frequently. Wasn't the end of the world today - just disappointing.

update: They never made it right and STILL WON'T DELIVER TO OUR HOUSE YET WE SEE THE DELIVERY DRIVER IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD...
