Nine years ago we ordered delivery from Crustys for the first time. It was EXCELLENT. Some weeks later we decided to go into the restaurant. It was an old-school, neighborhood pizza place with deep ties to the community seen in the decades old rec-league plaques and newspaper clippings framed on the wall. It smelled of yeasty dough, tomatoes, basil, and beer, not at all offensive. It was a challenge to find a table, a football game was playing and a lot of tables had kids play the video games and the adults draining pitchers focused on the big TVs. Fast Forward to my last visit... We ordered a pizza to go. One of the front doors glass was broken and had cardboard taped to it. It was pretty warm, like the A/C was broken and faintly smelled of stagnant water and all but one table was empty. A big table had unfolded pizza boxes stacked on it with two half empty drink cups next to them. Every TV was off, including the ones normally on that showed the menu. The bar, well I guess it was the bar at one point since it had beer taps behind it, had dirty dishes stacked on it as well as more unfolded pizza boxes. I ordered anyway and went home. Opening the box the pizza toppings only covered the center of the pie leaving no less than 1 1/2 inch of crust, on one slice the crust was 3 inches, and it WASN'T a bubble in the crust. It seemed fully cooked until we took a bite. The crust was flat... like flat and uncooked or made without yeast or any leavening whatsoever! It was more similar to cardboard than baked dough. I love a good pizza dough, I think that was one of the things that really made us fans of Crustys years ago. I was willing to forgive the skimpy topping because their crust was pretty good, or so I remembered when when we had this last pizza. I hope whatever is going on at Crustys is figured out soon, I'd hate to see it wither away like it seems to be doing. I can overlook a shabby out of date store as long as the food is good, don't let the food quality go or you will lose even the most dedicated customers... there are just too many other good pizza joints out there to buy crappys pizza. I'll try again in a month or two UPDATE: Just read the response, I am hopeful for Crusty's. You guys are a Norco favorite, our favorite, we won't give up...
Read moreThe pizza was very mediocre, we ordered in restaurant dining and the atmosphere is horrible, there’s random bikes and skateboards everywhere, not sure whose they are but I hurt my foot and tripped on them. The arcade machines are broken, quarter dispenser is broken, 2 machines ate my coins and appeared to have zero maintenance since their addition. The walls and roof look dated and falling apart, and the bathroom stinks and has 4 soap dispensers?
The Tuesday deal is nice but like wow, the pizza was burnt, the sides were burnt too, like we had garlic bread and it was sliced into thin tiny pieces that were burnt too. I was expecting full pieces not squished flat rock hard sticks. One marinara sauce was hot, the other was cold. Another thing, the sampler plate was awful, the potato waffle fries were extremely burnt, and practically turned to dust upon biting into them (after separating them from one solid mass), the wings were cold and had little sauce on them (literally sauce on one side), the mozzarella sticks were alright but slightly above room temp.
The pizza itself, terrible, 90% bread, very little sauce, little cheese, and the edges were burnt and rock solid.
Overall this is a solid 3.5/10, the food didn’t kill me but it...
Read moreI ordered one pepperoni and Cheese Pizza last night. Large, it took them an hour and 40 minutes to get there with my pizza. I ordered 3 ranch dressings. And Three sides of pepperochini Which I did not receive so I called the store back and they said the driver would return with my items which did not happen. So I woke this morning to find a $336.59 charge on my credit card for 1 large pepperoni & cheese pizza! The gentleman I talked to last night when I got off the phone I told my husband "he is either drunk or high"! It was 6:43p.m.when I called in the pizza and at 8:45 p.m.They charged $336.59 to my card. So right now, at 10:48 AM, I'm sitting in front of Crusty's waiting for them to open. They're supposed to open at 10:30 a.m.to talk to the manager or the owner of this location. So apparently someone has my card information. So I would be very careful ordering from Crusty's and giving them your credit card. Information I will not do it again. It is now 10:50 A.M., and they are still not open, and No 1's answering the phone and no one is in the building. Today's date is Wednesday 8/ 27 /2025. And I am still sitting in front...
