I recently visited Shane’s BBQ to place a to go order and inquire about placing a catering order. Upon entering, I was greeted by two gentlemen in Shane’s t-shirts who seemed to be from corporate. After waiting a few minutes, no cashier ever came to assist, so instead of placing the to-go order I intended to place, I left and went to the bbq restaurant down the street.
After calling their catering number and leaving a voicemail on Wednesday and not getting a callback by Monday, I called again and spoke with their catering personnel, who was pleasant and made the process easy. I provided my pick-up time and card number over the phone and was told my card would be charged on the morning of the pick-up date.
Upon arrival, I found that my catering order had not been submitted. Although my order was simple, it still caused confusion. I waited 20 minutes while the staff made my order on the spot. I texted the catering manager to ask if she had placed the order but did not call, assuming she wasn’t working over the weekend. The staff at the restaurant eventually made the order, I paid there, and I left.
No apologies were extended at the restaurant and unfortunately, I never received a follow-up, which was probably the most disappointing part. I am realistic about human error however this disregard is noted in my mind as showing a lack of respect for my time. I’m not swearing off this restaurant—I’ve lived in Peachtree Corners for years and eat here probably 2 times a year. I’m sure the staff members are good people and I’m just one person with little to no impact on their business —but before visiting again and most definitely before placing another catering order or recommending others to do the same, I’ll...
Read morePayday Fridays are good for one thing at work. Eating Out!!! We all wanted something different at work so someone suggested Shanes. I'm familiar with the Dunwoody location. I ordered the Shack Sampler because I couldn't make up my mind what I wanted and this is a little bit of everything. It came with 2 Fried Tenders, Pork Ribs and Pulled Pork with two sides. I chose Onion Rings and Cole Slaw. This plate gives you plenty to eat. Too much for work to be honest but hey you can always take it home. I also order the Peach Cobbler. This place is one of the few that gets it right when it comes to Peach Cobbler. OMG!!! good. Don't waste your time with the small size get the large. The large really isn't large enough to share with anyone so don't even think about it. I'm not sharing Peach Cobbler with anybody!!! Also the chicken tenders were large enough to eat as a meal on its on seriously. BTW we called in our order and had no issues. They were very good with keeping up with the specifics of all of our orders and we didn't have to wait when we picked...
Read moreCame in this evening for dinner and Kevin served me. He was phenomenal manager everything was fresh. All of the staff are helpful and friendly I noticed a lot of team work here at this establishment rare sighting in today’s age! I ordered the tender special with mac & cheese and green beans. Everything was served hot and fresh and was very flavorful perfect seasoning. I recommend the mustard and original barbecue sauce mixed as the dipper with ranch. I have also gotten pulled chicken plates before and everything was really good before as well. The peach tea is also really really good and the peach cobbler is the best finisher to any dish always order this it’s actually what brings me here cause I am a Georgia girl! Secret: Order a large cobbler eat half at restaurant and take the other half home to have a la mode 🍨 or with a tall glass of milk 🥛 🍑🍑🍑 thank me later!! The food and service here is better than a five-star restaurant. I highly recommend you visit Shane’s Rib Shack in...
