Heard of this place for awhile now and finally decided to give it a try. It's located across the street from another prominent Thai restaurant (Thai Norcross), so you know this place has to be on its game with the level of competition that neighbors it. The restaurant itself feels a bit more open and spacious when compared to Thai Norcross. It was dark but there was still enough lighting to not make the atmosphere gloomy. Tables are either in booths or as single individual tables. Enough seating was there to fit a decent crowd. In terms of the menu, they have all the options you would normally find for a Thai restaurant. You have your noodles, curries and rice dishes along with soups and small snake dishes. All of which were reasonably priced and cooked just right. Lots of flavor and spice, just how I like my Thai food. Would have just given this place just 4 stars but the service of the place really stood out. Our waiter Matthew was excellent and very courteous to any of our needs. Overall it was a very enjoyable first visit and hopefully we'll have plenty more in the future. Definitely worth checking out if you are in the area and are craving Thai.

A hidden gem. I love Thai food and this place doesn't disappoint. I was looking for Yum Nuer and ended up trying Namtok Salad which is like Yum Nuer on Steroids! The Tom Kha soup was fabulous and made the way I like it with the proper ingredients. So many dissapointing experiences at Thai restaurants who use the same kinds of mushrooms you find on pizzas and in Spaghetti but not here... The Thai ice tea was great as well. Nice smoky flavor and it wasn't prepackaged with a stabby straw... I travel to the Atlanta area frequently and stay in a nearby hotel. I'll be dining here often!

I've had better pad thai, but it's pretty good here! No chunky egg pieces, plenty of bean sprouts and lime. Their coconut soup/thom kha is OK, they use regular mushrooms and not straw mushrooms... mild spice is genuinely NO spice whatsoever, a baby could eat it. Their spring rolls were the best I'd have eaten in a long time. A tad overpriced for what you receive and how it tastes. Note: they are takeout only. buy the spring rolls.

I hear the food is good, as we were going to have dinner there after Christmas. Dropped in after battling 6pm traffic only to find the place 90% closed. So be warned- the place takes no dine in customers. Take out only. That wasn't going to work for us so we went somewhere else. Owner (?) was quick to respond afterwards in a snarky way. My son and his fiance' were absolutely sure the place was open for sit-down business, so in we went. The reply to the review pointed out that both the front door and the website stated "take out and deliveries only". OK, but I saw neither the door or the website... Can consumers not be hungry and wrong from time to time? I got no food so I don't know how it is. All I got was a rebuke at the door. I moved into the North Atlanta area in 1968 and lived there for almost 30 years. It looks nothing like it used to and apparently isn't populated by people that understand the meaning of hospitality anymore. I currently reside in Salt Lake City. When someone shows up at my door looking lost and hungry- I do my best to help them out. I'm truly sorry if you take offense at my review, but you need to learn how to be nice- even when consumers are being stupid. Have an alternative in mind and make mention of it. I've only tried to honestly report on how I was treated. Statistically speaking- if you receive 5 star ratings from here on out- it is possible that my observations will lose relevance quickly. There's hope. And maybe you were just having a bad day. Thats possible, too. And when thats happening you need to recognize it and put on your happy face anyway. Retail food service thrives on people that are hospitable. Great food helps, but if the people are grumpy there's no amount of skill in the kitchen that can overcome a frown at the front door. Best of luck with...

After landing at the airport, I called for pickup; I ordered a Thai tea and a spicy drunken noodle with tofu. I arrived about half an hour after I said I would, and they kindly reheated my food for me (without my asking). I paid around $15 for my meal and waited for the food, and I proceeded to eat it right away on the car while driving. The Thai tea lacked flavor and was really sweet, so I wasn't a fan. The flavor was good and it was spicy, and the noodles were quite chewy. I was disappointed by the amount of vegetables in the noodles though; it was almost all noodles and tofu, not much else. The flavor was also unexpected, as I've had a lot of Thai food across the states and in Thailand, and I haven't had this flavor before. It wasn't bad per se, just wasn't what I was expecting. I do have to say that the service was astounding. The person helping me (he's probably the owner? not sure) was super kind and gracious, and I watched him serve other restaurant customers as well. He was super friendly, bothered to learn people's names, and he also chatted with me a bit while I was waiting for food. I wish all restaurants had this level of service! Anyway, I'm not entirely sure how to rate this spot as the food isn't super amazing and is quite average, but the service is amazing. I would give it 3.5 stars in total (3 stars for food and add a star for service), but I think ultimately, I wouldn't come back because of the food so I'll give it 3 stars (for places I rate 4 stars, I would undoubtedly return if I were in the...

My boyfriend and I were in the area and as we are both big fans of Thai food, we decided to try Siamese Thai Basil for a late lunch. The first thing I noticed was how kind and attentive our waiter, Matthew was. Next, our food came out faster than I think I've ever been served at any restaurant. The calamari we ordered as an appetizer came out only a few minutes before our entrees. The calamari was perfect fried, was very crispy and not too oily. I ordered the green curry with tofu, and my boyfriend ordered pad Thai. Both were amazing. The curry had the perfect balance of flavor between sweet coconut milk/cream and salty. The tofu seemed to be lightly fried, but it held it's crispiness despite being covered in curry sauce. My boyfriend noted that the pad Thai was probably the best he had eaten. It wasn't too greasy, and had a great balance of flavor as well.

Again, the food was great, but the service was even more wonderful. Matthew checked in on us a few times, and was extremely friendly and attentive. He asked where we were from, how our weekend was going, and even for our names. It didn't seem like idle conversation, but more that he was genuinely wanting to connect with us as customers. As someone who works in food service, it's hard to find service like this in any food establishment. I will definitely be returning any time I am in the...
