Don't get me wrong, the food isn't the problem. The pricing is more demanding now than it ever has been been but it's not to the point of boycott. And sure, it's about the slowest example of a fast food restaurant you can find, but that doesn't even take a swing at the real problem: Customer Service. In the top of the line places like Chik fil' a they greet you, smile, thank you, ask if you need anything else and bid you farewell, make you feel like they want to make your experience pleasant. Here they Walk around with a cold stare and express frustration if you ask any questions. If they say "Hi" it like their mama made them apologize for doing something they didn't do. As a result, no smile, no thanks, no farewell just "take your food and go, I hate you," is the gesture we get. Maybe it's cuz they don't have enough help, or maybe management is not supportive enough where it counts for these practices. One thing's for sure, these employees more than any other fast food place I go to regularly are much more annoyed by customers in general, I always at least get a farewell at my departure everywhere else I go. So the gestures they use with the body language they put on display does a pretty good job of making people not want to disturb them by coming by making purchases, and that should cheer them up to pretty good degree I...
Read moreLord, I hate to do this to yall. But after the fiasco I had to endure yesterday... oh nah, yall gonna get this tongue lashing.
First things first - the hours of operation are wrong. Came here from VB to find out the location was closing an hour early, and we couldn't be served.
Fast forward a week or so (yesterday).. had the worst experience at Church's. My order was printed correctly on the receipt but I didn't get what I asked for. I had to turn around up the street and return for the rest of my order. After waiting all over again, I had to go back and forth with Shannon until her equally incompetent manager decided she wanted some of this also and came to the window.
The manager needs some additional training from corporate. She held up the drive thru line for nearly 10 mins, over a side order of mashed potatoes and a thigh. (With my receipt in hand.) What the fuuuh? Don't argue with me u 50+ yr old, fried chicken dropper. Just gimme my dang thighs.
Yall already in the hood. Yall only have 2 dogone locations in the 75. The restaurant itself is old, dingy, and sketchy. Church's, yall do not have room for error when it comes to customer service.
Edit: Oh! And how did I forget... they're out of honey and chicken tenders, and sides (except Mac and cheese, and mashed potatoes until tomorrow)....
Read moreMy husband and I are from out of town and when we saw a Church's Chicken, we were excited to try it, since we've never had it.
We went through the drive thru and were told right away before ordering it would be 15 minutes for chicken. So we pulled into the parking lot, looked over the menu, and placed an order online. The website told us our food would be ready in twenty minutes, which made sense. So we waited twenty minutes.
We then pulled into the drive thru where we were again immediately told it would be a twenty minute wait for chicken. (Is there always a 20 minute wait for chicken? It seems like it.)
We told the person working the drive thru that we placed an order online. She told us we had to come inside. So we went inside, where we were told our order could not be fulfilled, because they no longer sell shrimp, and we ordered shrimp. We asked if we could just get all the other food in the order, but not the shrimp. We even said we didn't care if we had to pay for the shrimp. We were told we could not do that.
No where on the app or the menu outside did it mention the store no longer sold shrimp. At this point we'd already been at the restaraunt for 20 minutes with no chicken, and we're not interested in waiting 20 minutes for more chicken, so...
