Iron Grill — Restaurant in Norfolk

This is so crazy I order myself the shrimp hibachi. I asked the Asia girl for hot sauce. She didn’t know what I was talking about. She turned to the two Mexican Spanish guys that was cooking on the grill and pointed to me. I asked them do you have hot sauce, they didn’t know what I was saying then they finally asked the black guy that was working. I said do you have hot sauce? He say no I say can you give me some Suraci sauce he tells me they will charged you extra for that so I’m paying for meal that already paid for they came up to almost $14 , and you want to charge me extra for sauce never again you will not get another dime of my money. I do not know why I cannot post the video of my dish. The rice is mushy. The shrimp was overcooked the top of the rice was brown only the worst Yum Yum sauce you could...

My son really enjoyed the food. I didn’t love it so much but that could be me. I gave it a 3 star because of the sad atmosphere, lack of friendly service, cost of the food and poor cleanliness. Only one table was barely clean in the dining area. You definitely need to just do pick up. White sauce and soy sauce were the only sauces available. Drinks are out of a cooler and they are expensive. I was amazed that I paid $55 for lunch for three people with waters. So it is pricey. My son just came back from deployment and he liked it. But that may be because he ate at the galley for three meals a day for almost nine months....

I went here while visiting family and was not familiar with it. But I will say that considering what prices are to eat out nowadays, Iron Grill is a bargain for the quality of food they serve. The Hibachi steak and shrimp combo was excellent! The steak was tender and moist and the shrimp was cooked to perfection. The only thing that caught me by surprise was the ordering process. Your transaction is conducted at a kiosk rather than interacting with a cashier. So, needless to say I was a bit nervous that my order was going to be correct. However, everything was delivered above my expectations, making for a great night...
