Mazzika Hookah Lounge — Restaurant in Norfolk

We came in and seated purse right away. It was at the peak of the busy hour so we expected a wait. That turned into waiting an hour for “premium” hookah. According to the manager it takes 30 minutes to put together this type of hookah. When the hookah came out the server could not figure out how to put the hose in. So she took it in the back. 15 minutes passed and the server comes out stating we had to pay for the hookah before they brought it back out……I asked to speak to the manager and she came out and she said we had to pay first. I tried to explain it was brought out previously and did not work. She disregarded that and we paid. No hookah for another 15 minutes. It still did not work. So they took it back a second time m. 15 minutes passed no hookah so I request the manager again and she comes out back stating that the reason it is taking so long is because it’s a premium hookah. Finally the hookah comes out 10 minutes later. I will never come back to this...

I was so disappointed in my service at Mazzika. Me and a few of my friends visited Mazzika for happy hour yesterday. We decided to get some food and a couple of drinks. During happy hour, well drinks are $4. I got two drinks with rum, pineapple juice and peach schnapps. The drinks were not large at all. When we get our bills, I notice my bill is $29.00!! I only ordered fries along with my drinks which were $3. They told me that they charged $6 dollars for peach schnapps because it was top shelf??!! When did peach schnapps become top shelf?? I was so furious with them. With this they also included a 18% gratuity into our checks. I was highly disappointed with Mazzika and will never come here again. If you go there for happy hour, make sure you reiterate to them that you want happy hour drinks because something as little as peach schnapps will cost more than the...

I ordered a Washington Apple and what I got was NOT that! I asked the bartender if I got the right drink and she shadily said yes. When from the looks of the drink that I have been drinking for YEARS it wasn’t. It was light when it should have been dark. It’s made with whisky and cranberry and sour apple snapps. She asked me if I wanted more cranberry juice and I said NO b/c my drink was all the way wrong. It was ok but NOT what I asked for. At the end of the day it was a chill spot. Music could have been better but it is was what it was. Would I return.....ehhhhh it was my first time so everybody deserves a second chance but that’s all ya...
