My boyfriend ordered a cake for our daughters birthday. We told them we wanted a pop it cake and sent them a picture, which they said they’d use for inspiration. The fondant was cracked and uneven, and they remade the pop it from the picture and just laid it on top of the cake. Then they iced the sides in matching colors and that’s it. I feel like they definitely rushed it and the older lady that works there was extremely rude. Zero customer service what so ever. When I walked in i had to say hello and tell her I was here to pick up the order. She didn’t say a word, walked back, grabbed it and let me view it from about 6ft away before putting it in the box. They never asked if we wanted anything written on it. When we originally placed the order, my boyfriend told her we wanted to order it and they didn’t say anything more. Didn’t mention paperwork or anything else. He called about 4 days later only to be told we didn’t fill out any paperwork work or anything like that and we would have to be fit in. Like it was something we were supposed to just automatically know to do. Again if they had any customer service skills, they would communicate with the customer about what needs to be done to actually order the cake. We paid $115 for a cake that had a fondant pop it thrown on top. The fondant was cracked and uneven, like they put a stencil down and then moved it but didn’t fix the original part that was cut out. It’s not the worst cake we’ve ever seen but definitely not worth the money we paid. We went home and added our own popits so that it at least looks like a...
Read moreI ordered a cannoli cake for my birthday about a week before the pickup. Woman asked what I wanted on the name plate and I said "happy birthday Charlene." So when I picked up the cake and it didn't have a name plate, didn't really care but also why even ask me then. The girl who was there at pickup was super nice and helpful, even put a little thing under the cake so it wouldn't slide. I left and immediately drove home to Hampton, so a 35min drive. My husband held the cake the entire time, when we got home the cake had separated and slid. I thought it was him, but it was the fact that the cake was not cold when I picked it up plus it being summer and my car not being a refrigerator the layers had gotten too hot and separated. I was really upset considering I just paid a good amount on a cake for it to not even look presentable. I put it in the fridge but it just fell apart. I called and left a message saying I had a few questions, never got a call back. The cake tasted great, but since everything had separated the fluffy cake layers got too much air and got stale fast. For the price I paid I wish I could've gotten a call back to just see why they didn't refrigerate it, the high for the day was 95. I understand making the cake the same day so it won't always be super cold, but I've never picked up a cake and it fall apart like this. Wish they would've...
Read moreTotally exceeded my expectations! I decided to do a last minute gender reveal for my husband so I was just looking for a little cute cake that I figured I’d pipe some blue cream into. I called to ask what cakes he had available and loved that there was a heart shaped strawberry cake to work with. I asked if he could write “Boy or Girl” on it and quickly mentioned I was going to put blue in it to make it a gender reveal and he agreed (also it should be noted that he gave me the price over the phone without me asking, which I think is a great business practice so I wouldn’t be surprised!). I show up 15mins later and the owner shared that he made some adjustments to the cake… this man did the cutest gender reveal decorations and shared he put a blue straw in it because the inside was already pink since I chose strawberry swirl! What a great idea! Wow, just wow, idk if it was the hormones but I wanted to cry and hug this guy because he gave me so much peace of mind and made our reveal...
