McDonald's — Restaurant in Norfolk

I sat in the drive thru with 3 hungry kids for 20 minutes. There was a line when I pulled up. It was about 7:30 pm. The car in front of me sat for about 15 minutes then pulled through. I waited , called into the speaker a few times before driving around to the second window. The guy opened the window, I asked if there was a problem with the drive thru speaker,as no one was answering it. He said the drive thru guy was washing dishes but if I drove back around he would take care of my order. Waited another 10 minutes, called into the speaker, same as before. Nothing. Drove around, parked went inside and asked for the manager. I told her the situation and her response was that there must be a problem with the headset. When I told her what the guy in the window said, said said ohh, well there's the kiosk use it. She then turned and walked away. There was a lady waiting for her food, she looked at me and said "If I heard that before I paid for my food, I'd be leaving. She's rude ." I turned and left. Good thing there was another McDonald's down the road. $75 later, I was talked to like an adult, received excellent service with a smile and a manager who helped me with the information on the one I left. I know this is fast food, but it took 5 minutes to get there from my daughter's house, and over an hour to get back. From a different location. Be better, fix the drive thru, and don't worry about closing everything down hours...

What a "second" horrible experience, although I am only speaking about my most recent one. In the drive through I attempted to order a McRib, which was clearly pictured on the menu as an offered item, to be told that it the McRib is discontinued. Ok, of that were the case, remove it from the menu. So I proceed to change my order to a Big Mac meal. When asked for my drink preference I requested a Dr. Pepper for the drink. I was then told that the only offerings were, blah, blah, blah, none of which I was interested in so when I asked if the amount of a drink could be deducted from my order AND I will not take a drink, I was told NO! Ok, well, you didn't offer the drink I prefeŕred. Not to mention that my original order was not available either but they could not even be accommodating at all with a simple drink. I was prepared to settle for something that I did not originally order only to be told that they could not simple deduct the amount of a drink from my order because my choice was not available. What horrible, horrible customer service for a drink that likely cost the establishment less than .25. Instead they lost approx. A $13.00 sale (likely more) Yes, I left without placing the order. I will NEVER return to that location again, second time burned but was willing to give them a second chance. ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE...

Terrible I hadn't had McDonalds in a year went here to get my kids happy meals and some spicy burgers .... The man I was ordering from seemed new and there was a lady behind him rude as can be blond ... She told me there was no dollar burgers anymore... So I asked her what was the cheapest burger she had she said something and that it coated a dollar... I held in my breath.... Then I told her fine give me 2 finally to the happy meals .... I oreded them and was unsure what to get not used to all the selections... She rushed me and even the man that was trying to take my order seemed to get annoyed with her she didn't help at all she made me hate McDonalds for not going in a year to returning to that??? Ugh finally we get home and I look at my kids happy meal burgers (I decided on burgers) and it was bread what looked like a patty a tiny glob of ketchup and 3 little dotes of pickle!!!! My fries where cold and my the dollar burgers I got looked the exact same!!! No lettuce or anything they looked like garbbetter I paid 26 something and threw the whole thing in the garbage everything ... Rude service nasty cold food and a waste of time and money orders from a local Chinese restuant waaaaay better DONT GO HERE EVER!!! GO ANYWHERE BUT HERE IF I COULD GIVE THEM -5 AS A...
