Sloppy Sailors — Restaurant in Norfolk

I went here with my brothers and dad, we ordered 2 Sloppy Cheesesteaks, a USS Destroyer, Tarmac fries, 2 shakes, and a piece of fudge cheesecake. Sloppy Cheesesteak - 4/10 While it was seasoned well and had good flavor. It was kind of dry as it lacked sauce and there was not enough meat, more bread then anything. Tarmac Fries - 5/10 They were seasoned and tasted good but some of the fries were undercooked and they put a little amount of meat and there was a decent amount of cheese. Also it was advertised as Southwest cheese but tasted like regular cheddar cheese. USS Destroyer - 8/10 This Sub had a good amount of meat and a good amount of vegetables. Not only was my sandwhich delicious and HUGE….It beats any type of sub competitors prices for what you’re getting. Quality meats, quality cheese, and quality bread. I had the Commander and it was amazing. The gentleman working the register that took my order who I believe may be a manger or possibly even the owner even hooked me up with a free drink for my first time coming in!!

Do note that this sub shop does not offer any seating, which I understand how this may turn some customers around….but any true deli/sub shop i have been to doesn’t typically offer seating… Wonderful grab and go sandwich spot. Only took about 2 minutes for my sandwich to be ready after ordering

This is for pickup and go, bro. Ordered the Torpedo and the sloppy fries. The sloppy fries came with bacon, cheese and gravy over crinkle cut. They were pretty damn good. I dug those. The Torpedo was good. I was eating in my car and went to pick up something at WalMart and knew I had to wait. So I'd brought it in there to eat. I didn't put any condiments, but I think I would've been even more better with some mayo and mustard. Kinda reminded me of Jimmy John's and I'm not a huge fan. I'm just not a chain guy.
